Tiger Dumps Stevie
First topic message reminder :
Anyone else see a lot of tweets about Tiger getting rid of Stevie. I do wonder if stevie got the news a while back and that is why he has started to work with Adam Scott. Not sure what to make of this regards tigers return to former glory?

Then Tiger will be once again Sweden's 'son-in-law' (of sorts)...

Surely not!
Now, that would be funny wouldn't it?

I agree that tiger needed little help to manage his way around the course but in contrast I wonder if Adam Scott could do with a lot of help. For a guy with such a great swing to struggle as often as him does that indicate he needs better guidance. I know his putting suffers but is that because he his not hitting to the smart areas of the green.
As for Tiger, is his ability to tackle a course a sign that he knows how to understand GCA and what that means for his game. I doubt it, but if so I wonder how his GCA career will go.

Mac - Interesting thought. Agree that Adam Scott will likely benefit from Stevie.
Will be interesting to see how Tiger Woods GCA design will eventually shape up. I'm sure they'll be plenty of people wanting to fund any design program he attaches his name to. Nicklaus and Palmer have shown the value of that. Although with some exceptions, I've never been overly impressed with the design skill or should I say templates (at least for Nicklaus designs) from either.

TW just announced in his press conference that his new caddie is only an "interim" solution and he's still looking for a long term new bagman

See my thread. Lots of speculation that his new "man" will be Brett Waldman.

Sorry missed your comments on the other thread. Didn't want to pollute it with more Tiger talk!

Davie,
Let's face it, Tiger is the topic du jour whenever he tees it up. Unavoidable whether one likes it or not.
For this week at least it should help some of the Europeans creep under the radar a little.
