Who is the worst dressed player on tour?

I think it is either Ian poulter with his checked trousers and silly coloured jumper or Rickie Fowler(who my daughter thinks looks like a girl)with his stupidly coloured clothes,especially his Sunday best

Brad Bryant wasn't known as Doctor Dirt for nothing.

I didn't realise until last weekend that one of Rickie Fowler's Grandparents was Japanese.

It explains those unusual features.

In terms of bad dress there is absolutely no one worse than Rickie Fowler. He makes the attire of Poulter look positively sober.

Let's face it though, golf gear is not exactly "cool", and we wouldn't be seen dead in it off course. So in reality, we're all pretty badly dressed.

Nope, Daly looks worse than Fowler. I don't mind Fowlers too much really. I personally think the all time worst outfit prize goes to Poulter though when he wore the shirt based on an Arsenal kit.

That was pretty bad, I think my opinions on adults wearing football shirts is well documented. Fowlers gear wouldn't be too bad were it not for the colour and preposterous hat he wears, although his wet weather gear makes him look like a scouser at a job interview (if that isn't too much of an oxymoron)

I'm going for John Daly too.
Whilst Fowler often looks garish he does at least make an effort to be coordinated and i can see that some people might like it.
Daly however looks most of the time like he's still in his pyjamas!!

Daly gets my vote as well - it's not just the awful trousers but the fact that he doesn't coordinate the shirt with them. Appalling.

Fowler's 22 and can get away with it and at least makes an effort. I'm sure that at 22 a lot of us wore clothes that we might look back on with regret.

Poulter generally looks really good with his tailoring but he just throws in the odd awful outfit to remind us of his Union Jack days. I'd say that three out of four days he gets it right but the press and fans pick up on the fourth day, such is his reputation.

Rory Sabbatini comes out wearing some shockers from time to time, but for consistent cornea bothering, my vote too goes to No-Longer-Big John Daly.

I'm not a fan of the John Daly style of clothing either...but give him some due on the weight loss. I followed him for a few holes at the Open last week and couldn't believe how much trimmer and leaner he looked.

Shouldnt have let himself get that way in the first place.

I quite like all the jazzy dressers like young Fowler and Poults and even John Daly. Golfers tend to dress in a uniformly boring fashion (although to a degree that is changing). Any characters are welcome as far as I am concerned. Lets ditch the Asda chinos and the polo shirt. Boring

I'm sure he'll grow out of it though, and if he can ditch his religious crutch he might get more support over here.

Fowler's pretty representative of his generation then so maybe some context should be put on how he dresses.

As for Poulter, even before he was designing his own gear he donned William Hunt. He only gets in the press for the odd outfit and the rest of the time looks pretty sharp.

I'm also think I remember reading something about Daly and gastric bands? Either that or he's stopped drinking, is more stressed from gambling or has turned to heroin.

I did see a kid wearing one of those "flat" peak caps the other day and it looked really stupid, but then again so do skinny jeans, pain on white trainers and lots of stuff the "yoof" of today wear.

I would guess Poulter needs to wear what he wants to sell, and he probably found the more outlandish stuff wasn't selling that well?

The issue for me with Fowler is the cap.. I actually don't mind the rest of his gear, but the oversize cap, especially with the Charlie's Angels (1st incarnation) hair flick sticking out, looks a bit ridiculous. But each to their own I guess.

I suppose the world would be boring if we were all the same, just as the world of post round golf interviews would be boring if people like Poulter and Mcilroy weren't so outspoken and just spoke in football cliches, but there is a line and Fowler looks more stupid than any golfer probably ever has, although I'm sure he's paid handsomely for looking like a plonker. I'd probably do the same, not sure about the Dennis Healey/ Thunderbirds Baddy eyebrows though.

Strangely enough Stewart Cink is poorly dressed, there is nothing particularly wrong with what he wears, just that nothing suits him or fits him very well. Looks like what he gets are handmedowns from someone who is a completely different shape to him.

The Americans notoriously wear poorly fitting clothes. Very few that wouldn't learn something from a stroll down Saville Row...

A mistake would be misclubbing or shanking a wedge, you have to be pretty thorough and put in a lot of effort to end up like Daly used to be. I don't think it was a mistake that he swallowed so many burgers.

But it's not his fault. He's the victim of an illness and we should all pity him. Just like alcoholics, drug addicts, smokers and the depressed...

Probably Daly for me. Not sure about Mickleson sometimes either - he seems to like wearing odd semi-tight fitting shirts that really don't work.

They dress a lot better than they used to but I was commenting more on the fitting of their clothes. The tapered trousers with big hips and oversized shirts are the polar opposite to the sleek Scandinavian designers...

For me, addiction is for the mentally weak. And as for depression, please - we are all extremely fortunate to be born in a Western country with the privileges and opportunities that this luck presents. No matter how bad life is for someone in the UK, there is someone that would give all their limbs to take their place. Too many people forget or do not appreciate this.

I'm not going to go into depression or the reason people get into drugs or anything but if you are fat it's because you eat too much and don't exercise enough and if you want to give up smoking but can't then it's because you are weak willed or don't want to give up enough.

caveat: I've no problem if people are happy being fat, but I have no time for those who complain and blame everyone except themselves for their state, and obviously Shane Lowry, no excuse for a professional sportsman to be that out of shape, given that he's got all day to work on it.

Surprised no-one has mentioned the (allegedly) tailored white windsock trousers favoured by a variety of big men including Ernie Els, Darren Clarke even Lee Westwood. They look just awful.

Completely the opposite of Geoff Ogilvy's drainpipes.

Speaking of trousers, the ones I really hate are those that have a slit at the bottom. McDowell looks particularly stupid in them.
