The Freek's Bank Builder Empty The Freek's Bank Builder

Post by Guest Thu 28 Jul 2011, 11:17 pm

I was going to start this thread on the eve of the Premier League season but have decided to pop it up early as I am starting my new betting season this weekend on the SPL.

I have deposited £100 into my William Hill account and I will be starting off with a three bet accumulator which is as follows:

St Johnston v Rangers
- Rangers to score in both halves @ 11/8

Kilmarnok v Motherwell
- Both teams to score @ 10/11

St Mirren v Aberdeen - Over 2.5 goals @ 6/5

A £2.50 punt returns £24.94. I will also place three 50p doubles on the above which, if all win, gives me £6.98.

I will also never wager any more than 5% of my bank on any given match day. Discipline, discipline, discipline!!!

Now I won't go into detail just yet as to how I make my selections but I will tell you that team form has no bearing whatsoever in my selections but statistical analysis and probability does. Just because, lets say, Rangers are on a five match winning streak it doesn't mean they are sure to take that to six. Remember form is temporary! I am also never influenced by prices but the majority of my bets will hover around the evens mark and go no higher than 4/1.

If any of the above bets fail to win then I will add them into the 'carryover' which I will explain more about when the time comes.

I will rarely bet on a team just to win as I have found there is more value in other markets such as the overs and both teams to score etc. Although saying that I will add straight team wins if they fall into my criteria.

I devised this system/strategy four years ago and it has stood me in good stead thus far regarding my accumulator betting and touch wood I am not giving it the kiss of death by posting it up here! I will add that this is just my 'fun punting' and I do my more serious betting/trading on betfair so this is not meant to be a get rich quick scheme unfortunately, just a bit of fun!

Myself and three other work mates managed to turn £200 into just short of a grand last season though there was some in-play betting involved whereas the selections I post up here will be straight bets with no trading at all.

Anyway folks feel free to copy and play along and by all means post your own accas and bets and lets see how we do!

Cheers Guys.

Well not the best of starts. I'd have said beforehand that the Rangers bet was the one I was worried about the most but there you go!

That leaves my current bank at £96

Only the one bet tomorrow:

Hearts v Dundee Utd - Over 2.5 goals @ 23/20

Just the single which a £2 stake returns £4.30

All four sides involved in today's let downs will now be carried over into their next matches involving the same bets.

So, for example, I will be backing over 2.5 goals again in St Mirren's next league match next week and ditto with the other teams.

Bad start and the bank now stands at £94.

The weekends bets are as follows:

Dundee Utd v St Mirren - Over 2.5 goals @ 11/10
Aberdeen v Celtic - Over 2.5 goals @ 13/20
Motherwell v Hearts - Both teams to score @ 8/11

A £2 treble returns £11.97 and three 50p doubles returns a maximum £4.97

And The Championship treble:

M'boro V Portsmouth - Over 2.5 goals @ 21/20
Burnley v Watford - Over 2.5 goals @ 7/10
West Ham V Cardiff - West Ham the first team to score 2 goals @ 23/20

A 50p treble returns £3.75.

Not exactly going well for you is it?

Not a big better, so how do you get 2.5 goals?

Over 2.5 means 3 or more goals, it's pretty self explanatory really. No it's not going great but I can live with being a tenner down. As I said in my initial post this is just a bit of fun, my real punting is done on Betfair via in-play trading.

I guessed it meant 3 or more goals but I didn't understand why it didn't say that and said over 2.5 goals instead.

Best of luck for the season ahead with your betting.
