How often do you see the millenium stadium full when Wales are playing any internationals?
Not many is the true answer...Right.

What do you think the reason for that is?majesticimperialman wrote:How often do you see the millenium stadium full when Wales are playing any internationals?

Economic reasons maybe? If so, certainly not very gentlemanly to make fun of the unfortunately less wealthy is it...! Actually quite offensive to be honest.
Here are the figures according to BBC
Wales vs Aus 70,000
Wales vs SA 54,000
Wales vs Fiji 55,000
Wales vs NZ 73,789
Wales vs Eng 74,276
Wales vs Ireland 73,856
Wales vs BaaBaas 31,232
I think that works out as 20% down on all seven internationals, or 7% down for the major internationals. Considering the economic situation in Wales I would say that is pretty fantastic to be honest.

maesteg, maybe you should think about how much is spent on football and beer. Wales isn't that poor, it's just priorities. Cardiff and Swansea are back to being football towns.

........................................................................................................................Is the reason econic....Or is it that the prices they charge is far too mutch for most fans to pay?

The Economy of Wales.
"In 2010, according to ONS provisional data, headline gross value added (GVA) in Wales was £44,517m, making the Welsh economy the tenth largest of the UK's twelve regions (counting Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland alongside the nine English Government Office Regions) ahead of only Northern Ireland and the North East of England."

Oh sod off you WUMs, Wales isn't full of the prawn sandwich brigade you see and normal people have to face normal economic problems.
There's no chance there was 70,000 there for the AUS match though -every other figure looks about right. And dammed respectable, when taken in consideration.

You're the one who said Wales was less wealthy, so it's you who's "not very gentlemanly" and being "Actually quite offensive". Stop pretending to be being victimised

How do you work that out anyway? Firstly it's a Tuesday, so people will be working. Secondly there isn't going to be too much demand for a training session really is there? Any person with a hint of knowledge about Rugby (and there lies your problem) will know that they aren't really going to see anything too worthwhile there, purely because it's an open door training session. So why would you expect 70,000 plus people to head into Cardiff to watch a glorified runabout?

They have been doing this for the past few seasons now, its aimed more at the kids but lots of adults go to.
There were well over 10,000 last time and the players sigh autographs and do bit of a Q&A session to.
Can't make it this week but hoping they have a 'final' one before leaving for NZ.

If England loses I'll be blaming that traitor Mr Tindall, on the plus side at least MJ would have plenty of empty seats to knock around.
