Liverpool - how long will the false dawn last this time?
Is it fading already?
Average goalkeeper
No left full back
One recognised proven striker
only 2 good midfielders
Talisman aging..
This does not bode well

Great result against Chelsea and Carroll to come back from injury. There are possitives at the moment, but will Liverpool keep the good premiership form going that they have at the moment?

Getting tonked 3-1 by bottom of the league is a great way of emphasising this!

Luis Suarez could turn out to be a great signing for the club too though. I watched him at the world cup and he was one of the stand out players of the tournement

If it is a false dawn may it keep going. OK the Hammers result was embarrassing but it was followed by a drubbing of Salford United which was Kenny's first win against them as a manager.
Suarez and Kuyt looking excellent together. Merieles is taking the pressure off Gerarrd in the middle and the defence is looking better and better.

Re: Liverpool - how long will the false dawn last this time?
We have a lot of rebuilding to do, but I haven't felt as excited about Liverpool ever before. Any other time was tempered by Chelsea/Arsenal/Man U being so dominant or owners holding us back. Neither of these are the case any longer.
There are many problems to solve, like Gerrard's poor form (is it still poor form when it's been nearly 18 months?), our LB situation, replacement for Carragher (Kelly? Ayala? Wilson?), Reina's future, Lucas' contract, our over 30s on big wages - Maxi, Kuyt, Aurelio and Cole and those who probably aren't good enough but still on the wage bill - Degen, El Zhar, Jovanovic, Poulsen and Konchesky.
We have a long road ahead, and we're only at the beginning, so we have to expect results like those vs West Ham and Wigan. We can't and won't perform to the level we did against Man United every week. It is not physically possible. We just need to become more consistent, and make those results a rarity.

Bitter Newcastle fan, hence the dig at Carroll.

Well that explains the animosity then haha!
You can't complain really though, you did get £35mill for him.
Am sure that will help you on your way next season unless Fat Ashley pockets it or goes to Vegas

Complete opposite, he's buying Greggs the food chain.
Yes the money was great, all the BS about Shearer and being a #9 was a massive kick in the teeth!

So you don't subscribe to the theory that Carroll was forced out then?
