606v2 Charity - John Hartson Foundation
- Spoiler:
As you are all aware, we recently did a Q&A with John Hartson (Q&A Answers) which proved to be very popular with our members.
During the interview, John came over as incredibly humble and genuine about his footballing career and fight with cancer. Since that meeting, we have began to work more closely with John and we can now reveal that we have launched a charity page for John's foundation - the John Hartson Foundation.
Details of the foundation can be found on our charity page along with ways in which you can contribute - 606v2 Charity Page
As part of the fundraising, I met with John this morning and agreed how we could help going forward.

- Spoiler:
I am pleased to announce that on September 8th, the JHF will be holding a charity football match to be screened on ITV4 featuring both Welsh and England legends. Although we can't reveal the names yet, there are some HUGE names on there!
The match will be held at Derbys Pride Park and if you can get along, I thoroughly recommend you do. Even if you cant, please find the time to spare a few pounds by donating here - 606v2 Charity Page
In the build up to the game, we will be featuring some incredibly exciting exclusives, including some Q&As with quite a few of the players. So make sure you tell everyone you know about the game and 606v2 if they want to submit their questions or donate.
If you have any questions or would like to help the cause in any way, please post below. We have also put a link to the charity on our partners page.
Lets raise some cash!
(please note that 606v2 receives no incentive for this charity - all donations are 100% allocated to the charity)

Excellent work, and an excellent idea. I look forward to the opportunities provided by the match, and let's hope we as a forum can raise some money in the meantime!

Hat off to you Hobo mate!
More than happy to donate. Great cause and it is fantastic of John to be giving something back after his battle against the disease.

Season Ticket Holders:
£10 Over 16s
£5 Under 16's
People with out season ticket:
£12 Over 16s
£6 Under 16's
£1 booking fee if done on the phone or online.

I can't believe you are trying to lure some under 16's to go with you...
Anyway, moving on, make a donation on that page anyway let's get as big a contribution from v2 members as possible.

Wow, hadn't read it like that. I'll edit that in a second.Fists of Fury wrote:I can't believe you are trying to lure some under 16's to go with you...

Well as I might pay to get my brother a ticket too, can you not just tell him that £20 of tickets were from v2?
Edit: Misread the ticket prices will be £24 if I take my brother.

Great link up and nice to see the forum backing John and his endeavours. I've left my donation, and more than happy to give to a Hammers legend!

Thanks, sodhat.
Come on guys, make some donations, even if everyone just gives over £1 or £2 it will help raise a lot of money for a great cause.
