Double cross codes?
According to scrum.com, Craig Gower is going back to league, which got me thinking. How many other players have swapped codes twice? The only other that I can think of is Jonathan Davies.

Oh sorry I get it.
Well yes loads of Welsh boys did that. Dai Young, Scott Quinell, Alan Bateman, Adrian Hadley, Stuart Evans, Paul Moriarty, Jonathan Evans, Scott Gibbs, Richard Webster, John Deveraux, Kevin Phillips pretty much half the Wales 1988 Triple Crown team actually. They all started in Union left for League, then returned when Union went professional.
Though Iestyn Harries, started in League, came to Union, then went back to League.

Re: Double cross codes?
Iestyn Harris did and also i think Jason Robinson played a few games for Bath while super league switched from a winter to summer sport.
Henry Paul is another who played for Bath during the summer switch and then went to union again and then back to league.

Don't feel bad your not old enough to remember the amateur days of Welsh rugby
Va’aiga Tuigamala is another also, he was poached from New Zealand Rugby, went to Wigan then back to Union and played for Samoa.

There were a few converts back in the 1920s too - RU issued an amnesty post WWI allowing anyone who'd switched to RL pre-war to return.

Ok, probably a better question then:
Did anyone not switch codes twice?

Re: Double cross codes?
Can't believe I forgot about Brian Carney. Played League for Gateshead/Hull, Wigan, Gold coast, Sydney and Great Britain, then played RU for Munster and Ireland before returning to League with Warrington(?).
Apolo Perrelini went from RU to ST Helens before moving to Sale.
Didn't Mark Cueto used to play RL?

You should of seen the Auckland U17 RL team he played in! I plated for Wellington and we had no idea who he was as everyone was talking about the million dollar kid..........Lesley Vainikolo (rumours of a massive offer from Wigan at the time) who was a massive lump even then and captain of the Auckland team. We planned to triple team big Les which worked but only as far as leaving acres of space for Ali to announce his arrival - he carved us up that day and was signed to the Warriors out of that tournament!
