Open or shut
Bad news is that it looks like we are in for a wet and fairly windy few days but the good news is it should keep the rioters indoors.
Personally I would love to see the Millennium roof shut for the match but if they do decide to keep it open who will the wet conditions benefit the most ?

More important than having the roof open or closed is what state the MS pitch is in at the moment? Will it cut up for scrums as usual so they have to move them 5 yards away for each re-set? Will there be huge clods of turf flying around?

well it didn't for the last few games after they sorted out the sub-standard stuff they imported from England.

Re: Open or shut
It's nice with the roof closed and more likely to be an attractive game but by default it should be open excepting horrendous conditions (hence why both teams must agree to shut it - not 1 side demanding to open it).
Question is what do you want to achieve. Is it to compare players to get your final squad, get match practice or see who performs in particular conditions.
I'm not aware of any enclosed stadia in NZ, and it has been known to be wet and windy there. Knowing someone can play as well in the rain and mud might be a good thing.

Isn't it just up to Wales, because it's not in a competition? Having said that, I'd prefer it to be shut.

Not sure what they agreed when they arranged the game but imagine the way a decision would be reached was settled at that time.

Hopefully not one that involved the WRU bending over, like they did with the TV rights.
