Sean Long hangs up his boots
Hull FC scrum half Sean Long has decided to retire from rugby through injury at the age of 34 . Long has had a glittering career starting off at his home town club Wigan before moving to Widnes and then St Helens were he achieved 4 league titles and 3 challenge cups winning the Lance Todd Trophy 3 times and was also Man of Steel in 2000 . Sean moved to HullFC in 2009 but his Hull career was blighted by injury .
Long played 15 times for Great Britain and 6 times for England .
Sean has stated he wants to remain in rugby league possibly in coaching role , he also implied he had a job in super league for next season but did not say with which club .
He may have ended his career on the wrong side of Hull for me personally but im one of Sean's biggest fans and he will be surly missed ,a cracking player who ran games and won them on his own when needed.
His Autobiography Longy: Booze ,Brawls, Sex and Scandal is a good read aswell .

A very good club player, but just came up short on the international games.
