Brilliant to see Higginbotham start, he deserves to have already started the first two games but better late then never.
I don't get why Deans hasn't started Faingaa at 12 to help out Cooper; Quade is being targetted more and more and McCabe has said himself he doesn't understand what cooper is doing a lot of the time. It'd be easier for the 10 if he had the guy from his actual club outside him to take some of the pressure off.
Rocky, O'Connor and the half backs need big games this weekend. And the kicking needs to be far better, from hand and fromt he tee.
Is Deans ever going to try out a different captain? If Rocky gets crocked early on in the WC or even in these last Tri Nations games who has had any recent experience leading the Oz team?

Big opportunity for Timani and Samo should they get time off the bench. Especially for Samo since this is the last chance saloon for him as far as getting to a world cup goes.
Why are they persisting with Ma'afu? Is Slipper injured? Surely there's someone else they could select though. Ma'afu is dire.
I think Ashley-Cooper needs a big game at 13. He was poor last weekend. It's too bad for him that Beale and O'Connor are better than him in his preferred positions.
Having said that, if I were Deans I'd be using this game as an opportunity to play a backline of:
9. Genia
10. Cooper
11. Ioane
12. O'Connor
13. Faingaa
14. Ashley-Cooper
15. Beale
