Chris Ashton injury doubt for England against Wales
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/14491658.stm
Northampton wing Chris Ashton is an injury doubt for England ahead of their second World Cup warm-up match against Wales on Saturday.
The 24-year-old rolled his ankle in training on Thursday and did not practise much on Friday.
A final decision on his fitness will be made on Saturday morning but England manager Martin Johnson remains hopeful.
"He's a bit sore so we'll see how he is tomorrow. Hopefully he will play," said Johnson.
"I safely say 'yes, we would be more careful [given the proximity of the World Cup]'. We want guys to play and we are hopeful he will play.
"If not, we've got Matt Banahan on the bench and we've brought Delon [Armitage] too, so we will make a call about who will play if Chris can't."

Makes a big difference to English attack if he's out IMO , much rather face Banana Man and Armitage.

If Ashton cannot play hopefully this will give Sharples a chance to see what he can do?..I do hope Ashton is fit enough though

No MJ said he would play Banahan or Armitage instead. So unfortunately no chance for Sharples.

I thought that's what it said. Could all be mind games though, Wales have got losing people in training copy righted I swear !

Yes MJ did say he as Banahan and Armatage on the bench, but who will take their place if they have to play.

If he is a injury doubt today is it worth the risk playing him tomorrow in what's basically just a competitive training match.
