Bowe injury world cup doubt
Any one else heard that apparently he has a stress fracture of a metatarsal and could be touch and go for the start of the group stages. I suspect Ireland would gamble on him anyway . Fingers crossed for the guy I expect him to take the cup by storm . Would be a huge miss for Ireland

Irish management said he might be in the reckoning for the England warm up game. Nothing else released as far as i know. We would miss him but Trimbles form has been a welcome boost in that regard

On RTE news at 9pm this evening, they said that the only player not available this weekend is Rob Kearney (groin), but that he would be resuming running at the weekend as its not as serious as they thought it was.

Bowe, Ashton others with injury doubts.
Some big names could well have to pull out, then for Ireland it will leave McFadden, Earls, Fitzgerald to compete for the place, Bowe is there big winger and cruical along with O'Driscoll to their World Cup plans.

Just watched the sports part of the news on the rté player there. Great that they mentioned Ferris, D'arcy and Bowe by name as being fit and ready for selection. It'll be interesting to see how accurate that is because there's nothing on irishrugby.ie about it. I'm crossing my fingers and toes big time though. Have a ticket to that match and a fully fit Ferris and Bowe against the Frenchies....phwaoh!

Hey JB. Tommy himself hasn't said anything about treatment on his social networking pages, and he's still at camp training with the others. This is the first I've heard of it to be honest. I hope Chilli's going to be all right. He's only just come back.

I thought Haughton said that Bowe was definitely out and was touch and go for the England game?
It would be a real shame if he didn't make it as he missed out last time and has since emerged as one of the NH, if not the worlds outstanding wingers.
From an Ireland perspective it wouldn't be a disaster as we have other experienced back 3 players like Trimble, Murphy and Fitzgerald to cover but certainly our team is better with Bowe on the field.

I think it would be a huge blow. Bowe runs quality lines that only BOD, in the Ireland set up, can match.
'Carlton5' - Earls is not fighting for a place, regardless of Bowe, he is already on the plane.

This morning on radio, they said that Bowe along with BOD Darcy and ferris were all available for selection. Only injury is Kearney.

It's sort of implied he won't be back in the team until next week though. Trimble is actually playing quite well on the right wing which makes it easier to stomach, although I'd still like to see Tommy back.
