Fresh from a 15 nil defeat in Bath. Mortlock, Cipriani, Delve? and the boys face a Leinster team missing 17 top players.

Should be worth rolling up to. Team is guesswork at this point

15/Nacewa
Conway
O'Malley/Macken
Sheridan/McKinley
Carr
Berquist
9/Cooney

1/Van Der Merwe
Strauss
Hagan
Sykes
Toner
Ruddock
Ryan
8/Avua'a

16/Harris-Wright
McGrath
Shawe
Browne
Marshall/Murphy
Willis
Madigan
23/Kearney
probably a few more too.

I'm going to this game! Should be good craic. A nice curtain raiser for the real reason for our Dublin visit on Saturday...

The 3 games in 3 days was my original plan Sad

Should be a good game. I think these type of games are brilliant craic. Good chance for some young Irishmen to stake a claim at Leinster. Actually the Leinster kiddies have got a great preseason game coming up taking on Toulouse U20s. Looking forward to them coming over.

He's a backrow for one of the Leinster AIL clubs. Meant to be a very good player; was offered a contract at Connacht at one stage but turned it down.

Old Belvedere I think?

Yeah's he's a Belvo player. He's always training with the squad so i guess it was a natural progression for him to be signed up. I won't make this one but Notch, i want a full report on how the half backs and the second row go.

Interesting team. That's a very big centre partnership.

Think the leinster team is a bit bright eyed for this one, strong front row for us though.
It would be great to see this team do well with so much youth in it

14-13 to Leinster. I guess that means we're the best provincial team in the world now.

"I'm really happy with the win to be honest because we used 26 players including a number of 1st and 2nd year Academy players and I thought that they all showed a lot of character, especially in the second half.
"When you look at the calibre they were facing, such as the likes of Lipman, Cordingley, Mortlock and Somerville, I thought that we did well to get back into the game. I was pleased with Berky (Mat Berquist). He's a guy who I've known since he was 15 and he's a very calm player and someone coming from the Crusaders who can bring a bit of experience to our side.

"After six weeks of pre-season we were inevitably rusty at times and we're realistic to know that we made mistakes, but it was a good win and we've something to build on for what will be a very tough Northampton side next Friday night."

He's right to praise Berquist- he played very, very well. Leinsters 2nd try was excellent; check it out here.

Excellent try from Hudson. Berquist’s pass and Carr’s break were very nice too.

Jeysus, it’s nice to see some inventive backs play!

That pass from Berquist was excellent.

Are Leinster going to be wearing those socks all year?

Isn't it just? I've been falling asleep watching Ireland.

Carr's break was nice, but to be honest he usually does that against new opposition who aren't expecting it from him. That's a treat you only get once per team. Pro 12 defenses know all about him and kept him scoreless for large parts of last season. If we can use him well he could be extremely dangerous, but the invention needs to keep coming.
