Edinburgh team for Sale
15 Tom Brown
14 Simon Webster
13 Ben Cairns
12 Matt Scott
11 Tim Visser
10 Gregor Hunter
9 Chris Leck
1 Kyle Traynor
2 Steven Lawrie
3 Lewis Niven
4 Esteban Lozada
5 Steven Turnbull
6 Sean Cox
7 Roddy Grant CAPTAIN
8 Struan Dewar
Substitutes
16 Jack Gilding
17 Andrew Kelly
18 Grant Gilchrist
19 Hamish Watson
20 Alex Black
21 John Houston
22 Phil Godman
23 Lee Jones
Other substitutes: John Cox (Currie), James Fleming, Dougie Fife, Andrew Turnbull, Sep Visser (Boroughmuir)
Have to say that is an extremely young and inexperienced team - have never even heard of a lot of them! Matt Scott isn't even on the website as a member of the squad!
Looks like he is using this as a development game with a view to putting his first team out at home to Newcastle next week. Good to see Godman back on the bench - hopefully his lengthy break has refreshed him and he comes back into some good form.
On a side note it definitely looks to be confirmed that Cairnsy ain't making the world cup.

Re: Edinburgh team for Sale
Matthew Scott is a very promising talent, RDW, but has a slightly unusual development/academy contract in that he is insisting he be given time off to finish his uni studies, if I remember correctly. Bit worried about the 9/10 axis tho
Agreed re Cairnsy - he's just not a favourite

Re: Edinburgh team for Sale
Christ that is a worrying 9/10/12 axis! Ah well, gives the young guys some exposure. Hopefully they won't be forming the core of our team for the season though because we'l be in trouble if they do!
Interesting he's playing Cox at 6 considering he seems to just be an all out 2nd row.
Struan Dewer looks a bit lightweight for 8 too - only 6ft 2 and under 16 stones.
I fear we're in for a bit of a doing here....

Re: Edinburgh team for Sale
Are McKenzie and Alex Blair playing for Sale? If McKenzie is playing, is it at 2nd row or flanker?
