Maidana at 147?
As you know the maidana-guerrero fight is off, if the fight doesn't get postponed what do you think Maidana should do next? Personally I think he should move to 147 in the future and maybe even 154lbs. at 140 the only contenders he really has to make a big fight is Khan, Bradley and maybe rios but I don't see those fights happening anytime soon. I'd love to see Maidana against Cotto, Margarito, Berto, Ortiz again, even Alvarez in the future. He'd be much bigger and stronger at 147+ and would be an absoloute beast, even though he lacks skills, he has a lot of entertainment value.

At 147 and even more so at 154 I think Maidana would find himself out of his depth. He doesn't have a particularly large frame, and if his power doesn't carry up accordingly, he'll be nothing special.

I'd like to see him against Mathysse personally. I think that guy's an undiscovered gold mine of talent with plenty of power.

154? Are you mad?
Stick him in there with Cotto or Lara or even Alverez and he'll get whipped...
The only option he would have would be Ortiz at 147 after Mayweather, can't see him doing anything above 140 though.

Re: Maidana at 147?
i see two problems with moving to 147 for better fights for maidana. firstly, with the likes of mayweather, pacquiao, ortiz (who is alot better than the version that quit against maidana), khan (rematch if he takes it), berto and even kell brook in the division, i dont think he would win any of those fights. and secondly i dont think the 140 division lacks quality fights for hims still. there are plenty of great fights out there for him, bradley, peterson, judah, morales (rematch), mattysse, alexander. he could even fight the mccloskey- prescott winner seen as he seems to be a bit obsessed about chasing amir. personally i think those fights would be a lot more winnable but still highly entertaining.

theres a reason he's not been a champion yet, he's simply not good enough at the top. he hits hard and comes forward continuously, thats it.
he struggled badly with a very faded morales.
he'll still have great power at welter, but not the fantastic power he has now against bigger stronger fighters

Despite losing to the WBA world champion, work that one out.
WBA - I hate you.
