Dragons Vs Leeds - Tue, 23 Aug 19:30
Anyone else going tonight to see the game?
I was umming and arring about going, but it's a lovely day, so having a pint and sitting in the hazel stand with a nice breeze going past sounds a nice way to spend the evening.
Gonna try and aim for my ticket I had last week, Block C, Row L, Seat 7, so if your sat near there and see a short, hairy bloke in a Wales top drinking, come and say hi
No partner this week, as we cant get a baby sitter

Was a good game the referee let the game flow and seemed to be turning a blind eye to everything. Though he did frustrate the crowd a lot by letting leeds get away with constant offside and hands in the ruck. I thought early on the Dragons very weakened side was going to come a cropper, but they asserted themselves on the game and took control and built up a nice lead.
Whoever the Leeds number 11 was he looks an outstanding player. Someone to look out for in the future, if I can find out his name.

Sorry i forgot to check the score board as I was leaving but I think it was something like 29-16.
Dragons were by far the better team though and look to have a lot of young quality players in their squad.
They also announced that Newport will play Llanelli on September the 3rd at Rodney parade, and only the new stand will be open, to get it's safety certificate.
They also want to an evacuation at the end of the game as well.

The final score was 29 - 13. Leeds 11 was Curtis Wilson, one of many youngsters. Leeds are starting with a radically changed squad who have had limited time together so a lot of work still to do. Hope Joe Bedford does well for you.

As he got a mention earlier here's his Biog from the Carnegie website.
London born winger, Curtis Wilson, joined Leeds Carnegie in 2008 from amateur club Abbeydale and was promoted to the senior squad ahead of the 2011-12 season. He has represented Yorkshire U18s and North of England U18’s. As well as his commitments with the Academy last season Curtis also gained valuable experience playing on loan with Otley.
The player he most admires is Jason Robinson.
He'll be 20 next year.

I tell you what, that player looks very, very special based on his performance against the Dragons, pace, a cracking swerve and a lot of power, seems to have the ability to go through and round players which is very unusual.
Does he have a Welsh granny by any chance?

Diccon Edwards has committed to basing Leeds development on the youngsters which to me is absolutely the right way to go. I think we will be hard pressed this season to make an immediate return to the AP but if it takes a little longer but is not then dependent on big money signings I'll be well satisfied. No doubt from your comments there are a lot of good young players at Dragons and it's got to be right they get their chances with the clubs that developed them.

Well to be honest I'm an Ospreys fan, I just goto the Dragons to enjoy a good side playing attacking rugby, with decent lager and a hot little red head who sat in a seat near me
No chance of sitting next to her next time against Aironi though, she's on the end of the isle and (what I presume) is her mum next to her.
But judging by what I saw on Tuesday there is a lot of talent at the Dragons academy, and quite a lot of female talent in the stands
