WWE looking to improve Cruiserweight division
WWE officials have had discussions as of late regarding acquiring cruiserweight talent. A full-fledged revival of the cruiserweight division, however, has not been confirmed.
The belief is that cruiserweight talent would give Evan Bourne or Sin Cara more similarly styled opponents to work with not to mention that the quality of wrestling would strengthen the organization's undercard.

Think it is far too late to think of bringing that division back. I would be concerned that talent near the Main Event/Midcard could get lost down there. I don't think they have the depth in talent to have division like that without weakening the Intercontinental or US Title picture.

I'd unify the IC/US Titles then keep that (the IC) on RAW and put a Light Heavyweight Division on SmackDown!

Would the WWE let these cruiserweights take proper risks though? It would pale in comparison to the X-Division

Re: WWE looking to improve Cruiserweight division
If they could bring in foreign talent and have a division anywhere near as strong as the old WCW cruisers, it would be impossible for it to fail. I remember tape trading back in the day, and THE most in demand matches were the cruisers. It was impossible to get the tapes at times because of so many people wanting them.
Then again, that era is over...sadly.
