Raw Discussion - SPOILERS
So I'm sitting watching RAW. So far we've had Trips announcing that Raw is now a "Super Show" and will involve stars from Smackdown. (Not sure if that is long term, or as a one off for this show. Going by some of the comments from Cole it sounds like long term)
The opening Promo was okay, nothing too special.
Nash is now signed up to an active WWE Contract and will face Punk at Night Of Champions.
Sorry, I'm going off on a tangent; I intended just to discuss the "Super Show" thing. Is this an end to the brand split? Does the live Smackdown show coincide with this announcement for that reason?

Re: Raw Discussion - SPOILERS
Orton vs Ziggler was a brilliant t.v match. Smackdown should always be live imo. Hopefully the draft will fail to exist from now!

Re: Raw Discussion - SPOILERS
I hope it is long term and we see a crowning of a new undisputed champion, not a fan of 2 world titles as it just makes main eventers get ridiculous numbers of reigns, have the IC and US titles, tag team champions, cruiserweight, divas and then the Undisputed champion.
If need be take away the US title and then we would have clear boundaries again and a big enough upper mid card to genuinely push young blood up to main event status

Interesting at the end though and looked like there is genuine heat between Otunga and Lawler, push for him on the cards maybe?

Re: Raw Discussion - SPOILERS
TULSA, Okla. – As if Triple H isn’t busy enough. Not only did WWE’s Chief Operating Officer figure prominently throughout the first ever Raw SuperShow, combining Superstars from both Raw and SmackDown, he also informed one Superstar that he’ll be hanging up the suit and tie to square off in three weeks at Night of Champions.
Triple H informed CM Punk he will face him at Night of Champions (WATCH)
If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. WWE COO Triple H informed CM Punk at the end of the night that he had spoken with WWE’s Board of Directors – CM Punk’s match against Kevin Nash at Night of Champions had been canceled. Instead, Punk will be facing a different opponent, Triple H himself!
[ John Cena & Sheamus vs. Christian & Mark Henry]
03:55
John Cena & Sheamus def. Christian & Mark Henry (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In an unprecedented pairing, John Cena teamed up with Sheamus to take on Christian & Mark Henry in the night’s main event. Mr. John Laurinaitis thought he'd arranged the match, but he was sternly reminded by WWE COO Triple H that not only had he already arranged the match, he is also still the boss. Nonetheless, with four of WWE’s most potent Superstars clashing inside the ring, the bout rocked the BOK Center to its foundation. With The World’s Strongest (and possibly scariest) Man inducting more Superstars in his “Hall of Pain,” punishment was sure to be doled out. Although Henry did not disappoint, his overwhelming strength would not be enough. Cena managed to lead his team across the finish line by pinning former World Heavyweight Champion Christian.
Brie Bella def. WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly in a Non-Title Match (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Brie Bella – so beautiful, so talented, so completely devious. As her sister Nikki hovered ringside, the Bella twin battled WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly, who was cheered on by Eve. In the non-title bout, Brie and her sister used Twin Magic to fool the referee and score a cheap victory.
WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne def. David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne are for real. The new WWE Tag Team Champions – officially named Air Boom, thanks to suggestions from the WWE Universe – were forced to defend their championships against David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty in a title rematch. Air Boom rained down their aerial assault on the former champions and managed to retain in their first-ever title defense.
After the match, Otunga took issue with announcer Jerry Lawler, ripping off his headphones, after the WWE Hall of Famer had mocked the losing team as "boring."
Sin Cara def. Jack Swagger (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Jealousy once again reared its ugly head – and took a bite out of Jack Swagger. In his ongoing attempt to woo Vickie Guerrero to manage him, Swagger took on Sin Cara. As Vickie observed from ringside, her current associate, U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler berated her and belittled her new potential client. Ziggler even went so far as to distract The All-American American. The interruption allowed Sin Cara to capitalize for an easy victory.
[ CM Punk vs. The Miz]
04:28
CM Punk def. The Miz by Disqualification (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The downside of speaking your mind is that you make a lot of enemies. CM Punk learned that the hard way when he battled The Miz. The blunt Superstar admirably kept pace with his opponent until R-Truth tipped the scales. Miz’s co-conspiracy theorist attacked The Second City Saint in an effort to make a statement and allowing Punk the win by disqualification. As if that weren’t enough abuse, Kevin Nash joined the party and rendered his tormentor motionless with a powerbomb in the center of the ring.
John Cena called out WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio; SmackDown Superstars interrupted (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Integrating SmackDown Superstars on Raw is a boon for the WWE Universe. For John Cena, though? Not so much. The Cenation Commander-in-Chief demanded that WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio face him after Del Rio’s cowardly ambush the week before. Instead, Mark Henry emerged and threatened to add Cena to his “Hall of Pain.” Then it was Christian’s turn. Captain Charisma took the mic to discuss how he will soon be the new face of the WWE after he overcomes World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton tomorrow night in a Steel Cage Title Match on SuperSmackDown.
Just as he and Henry began to size up Cena as a punching bag, Sheamus flew into the ring to thwart his SmackDown adversaries, who reluctantly fled the squared circle.
[ Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler]
04:07
World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton def. US Champion Dolph Ziggler in a Non-Title Match (WATCH | PHOTOS)
As part of Monday night’s groundbreaking Raw Supershow, a new initiative combining Superstars from Raw and SmackDown, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton clashed with U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match. The SmackDown Superstar appeared surprisingly evenly matched against his Raw counterpart as Ziggler’s outspoken manager, Vickie Guerrero, looked on. Although the U.S. Champion failed to best The Viper, one Raw Superstar looked pleased – Vickie’s potential new client, Jack Swagger, who watched the bout from a monitor in the locker room area. (Prior to the bout, Orton RKO’d Zack Ryder, as seen in this WWE.com Exclusive)
Triple H announced the Raw SuperShow; arranged CM Punk vs. Kevin Nash at Night of Champions (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Friendship can be a lot of work, especially if you’re friends with Kevin Nash. After making a major announcement that moving forward the Superstars of both Raw and SmackDown will appear on Monday Night Raw, WWE COO Triple H demanded that his longtime pal offer him an apology in front of the WWE Universe for lying to him last week. The former WWE Champion emerged and admitted that, yes, he had his driver tell Mr. John Laurinitais he’d been in a car accident to get Triple H out of the arena. He did so, he said, in order to payback CM Punk for embarrassing him earlier in the night. Although Nash confessed to the deception, he continued to maintain that he did not know who had sent him a text message instructing him to attack Punk two weeks earlier.
For his part, The Second City Saint wasn’t biting. Instead, he accused The Game and Nash of being in cahoots. Despite their fervent differences, however, Punk and Nash did agree on one thing. Both were exceedingly in favor of the WWE COO arranging a match between them at Night of Champions. After giving the proposal some thought, Triple H agreed and arranged for the two to face off in three weeks.

Re: Raw Discussion - SPOILERS
Anyone else impressed more with Orton lately? He has really upped his game in the ring recently employing more moves and utilising counters. Even though he lost Ziggler came out of that match with more credit than any of his matches in recent months.

So you're more impressed with Ziggler then?
I'm so bored of Orton, he's basically Cena with a better moveset. When was the last time someone finished a fued with Orton looking strong?

Re: Raw Discussion - SPOILERS
I for one don't buy into the anti-Orton stuff... he is still being built up as the #1 face on SD so needs to look strong and go over people. He does have a good move set and even if he may make a better heel I think he is doing well as a face.
Christian has certainly come out of their feud looking more like a main eventer and Orton's strength has really helped his whiney, sly character to develop.
Also, it was a great match against Ziggler and really made it look like Dolph was his equal.

No I was giving credit to Orton for making Ziggler look good while still beating him, I'm not a massive fan of Ziggler but it was the bes match he's been involved in since the series with Daniel Bryan and i think Orton deserves some credit. Also did you honestly find the match between Orton and Christian at Summerslam boring?

Re: Raw Discussion - SPOILERS
So can someone confirm is this long term now or just a one off thing where raw superstars will be on smackdown and smackdown superstars will be on raw !
CM Punk vs HHH at night of champions, 100 % not going to be clean finish in my view.
No Alberto Del Rio on Raw tonight ?
Great match with Orton and Ziggler.
Eve Torres looked amazing this week on raw !!!
I acctually enjoyed the confrontation bewteen Otunga and Lawler at least they are doing somthing intresting !!
Smackdown has the potential to be a great show
IM THE CULT OF PERSONALITY !

The matches have been great no doubt, but the feud became stale quickly. But this is the 8th(?) time Orton and Christian have faced off, with Christian only winning once via DQ with Orton winning 7. Christian in this time has had 2 title reigns totalling less than a month. Has Christian really left this feud looking strong at all? Orton hasn't lost cleanly in such a long time it's ridiculous, he could have easily lost to Punk at 'Mania and still look strong but it didn't happen.
The uproar would be huge if it was Cena winning 7 out of 8 against an opponent who deserves a push.

You don't have to go over to get over, Orton shouldn't be losing cleanly to Christian anyway, thats senseless, the WWE wanted Christian to be heel so they couldn't have him win cleanly, fans struggle to boo him as it is without giving them more reason to respect him, they've had he feud of the year so far

One thing I don't get is why Sin Cara has to fight in that blue and yellow lighting. I'm assuming it's meant to add to the mystery of his character, but I find it hard to watch to be honest. And surely it's not a great light to wrestle under?

Is it too much for Christian to at least cheat to get a pinfall victory?

There's still Super Smackdown and Chrstian v Orton in a steel cage...
Heavy favourite is Orton to win by pinfall, but Christian winning by escaping the cage is his outside shot. But it's probably an Orton win no matter how anyone predicts it!

Re: Raw Discussion - SPOILERS
Christian could have cheated to a pin fall or two sure, to be fair he did pin him on RAW and SmackDown! a couple of times im tag matches, Orton was only champ because Christian screwed Sheamus in a title match anyway, so you could argue that it didn't exactly make Orton look strong, personally they booked the feud very old school and I felt it went down well, Christian couldn't beat him conventionally so they used Ortons weakness against him, personally I'd have left Christian as the champ and feud with Sheamus and allow Orton some time away from the Main Event before the Rumble to Mania run

Re: Raw Discussion - SPOILERS
I again enjoyed RAW this week. Without doubt the match of the week was Orton v Ziggler. Thought they both did a magnificent job, and Orton showed why people have yet to get stale at his character. He interacts and engages the crowd alot more than Cena & he is in a streak of adding new moves into his matches every week.
The majority of other matches were very short, which I sometimes get extremely frustrated about. However this week there was a reason behind each one (though the less said about the divas match the better).
Nash is beginning to look credible with his constant outmanouvering and one up manship on Punk. Though WWE would have us believe that doesnt matter now as its Trips v Punk at NOC. The introduction of the 'supershow' idea leads me to believe that come the next PPV this match will have changed! So many possibilities with it...i actually think that Nash may turn on HHH setting up a 3 way match which will see the 2 reveal their super plan by burying Punk at NOC...but thats just a thought!
Given the build up of Miz & Truth last week it was extremely bizzare to see them get minimum TV time this week (actually thats a lie as the writers have a habit of it). Hopefully they get made to look a little stronger on Smackdown.
Whilst I would like to see these two head towards tag titles (it seems Trips wants to rebuild that area) ive got a sneeky feeling we could see some kind of stable evolve around this conspiracy theory...possibly leading to Christian joining forces..maybe even Punk!!
All in all id give the show a solid 6.5..maybe a 7 as im feeling kind. Lots still to build on and as they have been doing for the past 2 months they are keeping me wanting to tune in next week....
Now to look forward to Smackdown!!

Anyone else gutted at the lack of reaction for Nash using the NWO theme? Truely is a new generation of fans.

It was the old NWO theme tune from WCW. When WWE bought WCW they acquired all the IP for the company, allowing them to use it. I suspect it was in Hogan's contract that he had some form of ownership over his brand, name, NWO and therefore associated items. As such he would also be allowed to use it (guessing).

The theme tune Hogan uses is from an Old WCW game, Jimmy Hart wrote it and it had the complete copyright of it

Also, just realised the WWE call the new theme "Roadhouse" and removed all mentions of the NWO in it, so its just the guitar bit. Still marked out though.
