A New Ireland
Scientists are baffled after a solar flare has struck the earth
The flare hit just above ireland on saturday night.
Scientist have discovered some weird goings on.
It seems that nobody can remember the last few weeks
It seems that anything that happened in the last few weeks is forgotten.
Other symptoms seem to be people not knowing where they are from
When our reporter asked a farmer where he was from this is the reply he recieved
"Ireland"
"but where in ireland"
"i dont know sure its all the same"
In this wierd turn of events it seems they have forgotten what happened in the last few weeks and have never been more united.
Patriotism seems to be at an all time high also With people blindly following irish sportsmen and women everwhere.
They are convinced conor niland will win the us open tennis
that eddie irvine will return to win the F1 drivers championship
There delusional following has no basis however
Look at promising athletes like rory mcilroy
who blew up in the masters and has not been able to achieve anything since
No this solar flare has made them believe in comebacks and fairytale endings but we all know
that in real life when you are down and out there is now fairytale ending
just ask northampton 2011 heineken cup champions

Re: A New Ireland
Well then let me start reminidng you of the most important factors.
Sorry to do this, but ignorance is not bliss.
It bites you in the back side, and living in a bubble is bad. Really, really bad.
Ireland has has a tough time of late with their beloved rugby team. They have lost their last four games on the trot, they are in disarray and low on confidence, there are murmurs about the fans being unhappy with the coach Declan kidney.
They will bravely fight and make the quarter finals, but then exit to the magnificance of the All conquering reigning world champions.
The springboks by all accounts will be boring, but ireland even more so.
good luck, if you need to know anything else, please do not hesitate to ask.

Re: A New Ireland
I'm with you biltong. I've slated Kidney a few times on here and taken a bit off stick for it but the guy is totally out of his depth. Mind you your auld pal Gert Smal has a fair bit to answer for too for wrecking our pack.
All the professionalism and winners mentality that was built up under Gatland and EOS has been dismantled and Kidney has returned us to stereotypical paddies who just give it a lash and run around like headless chickens.
Kidney is a nce bloke I'm sure but all we hear is spin and cliches about how 'we won't be concerned about this' or 'get carried away about that'.
It's all flipping nonsence. The preseason has been a disaster. 4 defeats means thats played 9 lost 6 in 2011. We're below Scotland in the rankings and look like 6N wooden spoon contenders right now. We have no game plan and the set piece is a disaster. Ronan O'Gara running everything like he's Quade Cooper and Jonny Sexton is playing like he's Ronan O'Gara.
Given the way the same players have been going at provincial level the finger has to be pointed to Kidney and his team.

Well then we are pretty much in a similar boat as you with PDV, our currie cup teams score tries by the half dozen, they play open running rugby that is an absolute joy to whatch, not to afraid to attack from anywhere, but alas, our national team has learnt nothing.

"They are convinced conor niland will win the us open tennis
that eddie irvine will return to win the F1 drivers championship"
They're also convinced the Dubs will beat Kerry for the Sam Maguire;
Rovers will win the leage, qualify for the Champions League knockout, play Barca in the final, Stephen Twigg gets a hat-trick and Messi has three penalties saved.
Donegal win next year's all-Ireland playing a scintillating brand of attacking football involving two forwards instead of one
Eoin Morgan decides to jack in playing for England and returns to the Irish cricket team
that eddie irvine will return to win the F1 drivers championship"

Re: A New Ireland
Well we all know there are some good Irish players - very good in some cases but for whatever reason the 6N game vs England seems to have been the blip rather than performances like those in the last few weeks

He did, wow, so that means he came back from being in a really bad place to go on and win, somewhat of a comeback some people might say

I didn't stick Dublin in cause I don't want to jinx anything. There is nothing worse then a kerryman lording of over you after they beat you and you had been trash talking all week

Shows how long you've been following Rovers. It's Gary Twigg.
