Which is your favourite rivalry of 2011 and why?
Favourite WWE rivalry of 2011
As 2011 has gone along it has peaked and troughed in terms of quality; there have been some outstanding matches and some really poor ones. Similarly there have been some rememberable rivalries too. Which rivalry have you enjoyed the most and why? By rivalries I mean promos as well as matches, so really the whole storyline of the feud.

It has to be Cena vs CM Punk for me, as it not only has brought out the best in Punk promo wise since the Jeff Hardy feud, but has shown Cena as being good on the mic and in the ring if he does get the chance to do so.

I think the Orton/Christian feud has been the best booked feud of the year but personally nothing sparked my interest in Wrestling in years the way CM Punk has and his 2 PPV matches with Cena where ridiculously good and they probably had match of the year at MitB

I obviously plumped for Punk vs Cena, but feel an honourable mention should be made for Cody vs Rey too. I really enjoyed their feud, and it was good to see Cody come on so well as a heel and really develop a persona.

I really enjoyed Rhode's rivalry with Mysterio earlier in the year - I was very impressed with Rhode's persona and storytelling throughout the rivalry. He arguably had match of the night at Mania bar HHH v Taker. I think he really proved himself as a legitimate upper mid carder with potential and am happy that he is IC champion now. I would like to see him get a chance to main event in maybe another year's time.
Orton v Punk proved very good matches but throughout the rivalry I just felt Punk and the Nexus were made to look so weak! Orton and Christian has been booked better but the title has changed hands too many times in too short a period for me. However some of their matches have been excellent.
However for me the rivalry between Punk and Cena with the whole leaving the WWE with the title angle and then returning to become the new undisputed WWE champion has been a career defining rivalry for Punk. People are going to be talking about this rivalry for years to come as the turning point in Punk's career and possibly even the company's. His two matches are most definitely contenders for match of the year, particularly MITB but I felt the whole rivalry elevated SS for the first time in years as one of the traditional 'big 4' PPVs. That's why it gets my vote.

I wouldn't say the title changed hands to many times, Orton pinned a weakened Christian to kick it off, Christian won it back using dirty tactics before Orton reclaimed it then finished the feud last night. I think it was good booking with the title changes needed to first let it take the neesed direction then to keep it fresh

Has to be Punk v Cena for me , 2 very good matches and Punks promos plus Cena and Punk both seem to be enjoying the "rivalry" .

I think you forgot Cole vs Lawler, which was immense apart from the matches.

I've gone for Punk vs Cena. It's the one fued that has got me back to enjoying watching Raw again on a tuesday evening after work.
Before this I just couldn't be botherd with either wrestling promotion.

While people seemed to come to a consensus that Punk's worked shoot was not quite the same career defining promo as Austin 3:16 the very fact that it was discussed in those terms and seen as more significant than your average promo says a lot about the importance of the feud to the landscape of the WWE. As a whole I do think this feud has been career changing for Punk who is on everyone's lips and has just effectively become the Anderson Silva or GSP of wrestling (i.e. P4P best in the world). With greater artistic freedom granted to him Punk has smashed through that glass ceiling and proven to the world just how great a wrestler he is and what kind of legacy he can leave on the business. Mark my words Punk will make a legacy.

Why is Yoshi Tatsu v Tyson Kidd not on there? Their fued over the Tatsu toy was immense! I would have voted for that.
