Seriously bad news for boxing, this is.
Warren, hardly mr popular in my estimations as it was, goes further downhill.

What's needed is better coverage on terrestrial/free-to-view channels. Fury's fights on Channel 5 have shown there's a market out there for it, at least where the fighters aren't demanding megabucks.

Extra £15 every few months. Sky bill around £780 a year, Box Nation around £120 a year, four Primetime PPV's £60 a year. Total price £960. Thanks a lot to all concerned.

Until it becomes a subscription service...don't be fooled by his 'free' offer.
Re: BoxNation Schedule & Press Conference (First post). Richard Keys Announced as Presenter - Clever move, should get in the papers.
Sky sports is something like an extra £10 on your subscription.
ESPN is £10
Premier sports is £6
Primetime £15 every 3 months or so for a PPV.
Now Boxnation an extra £10!
My maths ain't great but I work that out as about £40 a month including the PPV. I'm sticing to downloading and streaming from now on. I'm keeping Sky Sports for the football and snooker mind you.

Thats only the basic Sky Sports package. It's more like £20 a month if you want Sky Sports 3 and 4.

Sky Sports is pricey but their football coverage is top drawer so I don't have a problem paying it although I'm ditching the rest and no more PPV.

Wimbledon is like the World cup it has to be on free to air TV (some TV regulation). Their is a golf major like that as well.

You get my point though; there's very little boxing on TV as it is, and even fewer 'worthwhile' high profile events.

License payers money for a sport chosen by the BBC bigwigs.

Boxing is hard for them to regulate in that sense because their is no guaranteed yearly event. They can't pick certain fighters and say they need to be on free to air T.V. Seems to be a combat sport thing. Boxing, MMA and wrestling nothing else really. Maybe fans of these are just thick because we buy it.

Appreciate waht you're saying Kev but some of us have wifes who we live with who like such things as films and America's next top model and CSI Grimsby or whereever it is now and so would actually like to have some channels on our sky packages which show these things. Telling the wife she has to dump every channel she watches because some fish eyed toe rag has made his own channel is not the easiest conversation, even with a wife as understanding as the sainted Mrs Rowley.

You could always cancel red hot 40+ and she wont spot the difference on the monthly outlay.

Unlike your wife mines is no saint she's from Glasgow! . My Mrs would kill me if I got rid of living and MTV. Death by high pitched screech then frying pan to the head. I'm not dumping Sky just all they extra sport channels. I'm keeping Sky sports and that's it for the sport channels.

Sent out an exploratory probe last night Daz, think to describe it as even a partial success would be to over sell it by quite a margin.

It is definitely time for fans to vote with their feet, so to speak, and tell that obnoxious twerp Warren to shove it. Thankfully, most of his fighters aren't going to make too big a splash at world level, so it shouldn't last.
