Can I just clarify something MtotheC... sorry, you may have gone through this already but is this about who we think is the best now, or who we think is the best ever taking into account past performance?

Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
Have to go for my namesake (please let him keep the name WWE if he signs!). He's so much more of a complete package than any of the other guys.
Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
I think Sting should have retired ages ago
I haven't seen Shelton Benjamin for years - was never really a fan
I don't like John Morrison's gimmick
Never seen Chris Hero
Never heard of Max Buck
... therefore, I'm stuck with the one man rock band, who I have a mild liking for.

Buck was one half of Generation Me in TNA Demon, decent wrestler but forgets to shake hands with people.
You have to catch some of Chris Hero though, fantastic wrestler.

Questions:
How long is the poll open for?
What happens in a vote tie?
Oh and Demon, Max Buck and his brother wrestled as GenerationMe in TNA. I am pretty certain the Bucks were a well known tag team in ROH

I will if he is coming to WWE.
Forgets to shake hands? What do you mean?
I do know Generation Me actually - I'm not really a fan of that kind of frenetic tag team stuff though. It's a bit too gymnastic - same reason I can't stand this Sin Cara feud that is unfolding - everything seems far too choreographed. So I'll stick with Slater for now.

Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
Supposedly he didn't shake hands with RVD, who then sprouted off that he and is brother had an attitude, no respect and could not hack it when they left TNA.
I have read an interview with Max Buck in PowerSlam this month and too be honest he carries himself off as a respectful bloke and he explains that what RVD said wasn't true. RVD is just preaching again.

Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
When the Bucks left TNA RVD decided to rant about them having a lack of respect for the older gen and never speaking to him, a few weeks later they get a tryout with WWE, match wise all fine but then Booker T rants about them failing to shake his hand and even worse...they sat on his coat! Thus WWE then didn’t sign them up. By sheer coincidence Booker is very close with RVD.
Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
Max actually comes across as a top lad and the fact that so many indy guys showed their support for him on Twitter makes me think it was more a kliq style older guys protecting their own thing.

I have heard them both on a podcast with Colt Cabana and they both come across as really down to earth guys that just love to put on a show for the fans.
RVD was probably monged out and was talking to the ring post.

Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
In the event of a tie I used to have both (or more) going through but they remain together in the poll and matches then became triple threat/fatal fourway etc in the next round.
For this btw I would have made it multiple choice and for people to pick two, otherwise one guy in most cases will walk it and the rest won't get many votes.

Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
I always rated max buck higher than his brother his ability to convey emotion was beter and his character seamed a little more developed as well. I think the point about the gymnastic style is a valid point I always prefer a mat based/suplex style however high risk if done right can be highly entertaining.
IMO sting is the clear winner in this one, he is one of the most well know household names the business has created! And I love the way he has adapted his character recently trying to make himself more relevant.

Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
Can I suggest also, in a case of a tie, leaving the poll open for another 24 hours? I would like to take part in this but I know I won't be on the forum every day, so I will miss voting, and I am sure that others will be in the same situation.
Or.....
Is there any rush for a result? I mean you could leave the poll open for a week say, and have a new one every day. So one will run monday to monday, another tuesday to tuesday etc. That means there will be 7 polls running at any one time.
Gives more people time to vote, makes a tie less likely and would not take that much longer.
Just a suggestion...love the idea.

Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
Thanks hero... Im not sure about the multi vote system tho, surely the fact that you have to vote for the guy you rate above the others is what will give us a true champion. What happens if a poster can't choose between all 6 and votes for every guy? Does this not take the inportantance off voting for your top choice?
Although I am open to changing it for the next group if it levels the playing feild?'

Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
I've done it on my music cup and it's fine, just make it multiple choice and specify to everyone that you only want them to pick 2.
Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
I voted Shelton as I he pretty much always got a reaction out of the crowd, was a credible IC/US champ, excellent in the ring and with a manager to do the talking he could of been a genuine main eventer.
The momma gimmick was terrible when they easily could of put him with someone like Heyman

I will easily put my hands up and state I'm a huge Chris Hero mark. I did though tweet Shelton Benjamin as well!

Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
Yeah Mr Benjamin got my vote.
In-ring, he was excellent. If given a decent manager he could have been great. Instead they give him that "momma" gimmick.
It's not really his fault he was a personality vacuum.

Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
The top two seeds seam to be in control here, I'm surprised that JoMo has failed to pick up a single vote tho, considering he's seeded 3rd in the group and is on tv every week! Still a lot of time left for things to change...

Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
I voted for Hero but it wasn't an easy decision, Sting is in the form of his life right now mic wise but is well past it in the ring, earlier on in his career he was a good worker but a charisma blackhole, shame those two never coincided as he could have been a true great.
Honerable mention for Benjamin as well, as he is a wrestling machine, shame he is a blackhole (no pun intended) of charisma.
Chris Hero on the other hand is the total package, size, atletiicism, great wrestling ability and charisma. He obviously excells as a heel but I have seen him do a decent turn as a face. Since he reformed the King's with Castaganoli they have been on fire, a real beacon of Indie Tag Wrestling and any moves they get to WWE are very much deserved.

Re: V2 WCC Round 1 Group 1
I feel for JoMo as right now just doesn't work for him, the gimmick is terrible and he is better as a heel right now rather than a face as he simply doesn't have the back story/storyline (or any atm) to work with so we have no idea what kind of face he is suppose to be in the ting he is easily up there with the rest.
Just shows how the WWE are wasting/ruining a guy who can make you mark out with some of the stuff he can do.

Morrison has never made me mark out.
I can't believe the charisma vaccum Heath Slater got 4 votes so far, does he have four accounts on here?

Certainly says something when theres been 36 votes and none for Morrison.
If I could vote again I would vote for JoMo because I feel sorry for him.

Chris Hero everyday of the week. That is nothing against Shelton as I am a huge fan of his but Hero is just in a league of his own. Everything about him is top quality; athleticism, technical ability, & mic skills are all top notch. It's a massive shame he has never received mass exposure because his ability deserves it.

Nah Stonee, that kind of thing doesn't impress me from a wrestling point of view, infact I think it's stuff like that which help not get him pushed as crazy as that sounds

Fair enough man and I can see where you are coming from as I use to say the same about Hardy in the early 2000's
Interestingly Shelton and Hero have caught up with Sting, he might not be the runaway winner as we all thought.

JoMo's performance at the rumble was impressive but I didn't really mark out, I am shocked however that he hasn't received a single vote.
