Injured Reserve Empty Injured Reserve

Post by GangGreen Thu 29 Sep 2011, 4:16 pm

Just read that Bob Sanders has once again been put on injured reserve. I am gutted for the guy because he was looking sharp and him and Weddle would make one of the best safety tandems in the league and its a shame we wont get to see it develop.
The question has already risen on NFL.com if this is the end of his career? He has played something ridiculous like 9 games in the last 3 seasons and has missed more than he has played over his career. San Diego have said they wish him well but he won't be back with them next season.

Things keep getting worse for the Colts, both Brackett and Bullitt have also been put on IR. Brackett is obviously a huge loss due to him being one of the Defense captains and signal callers. Bullitt got a big contract as Sanders replacement but finished last season on IR aswell so the Colts might be wondering why they let one injury prone player go for another one.

Titans have already lost Britt which is a big loss to their offence and my jets have lost our best O-line back up aswell.

I guess Im wondering who you think your team's biggest loss is so far this season? Whether its short term or long term.

(Manning is pretty obvious lol)

It's all about the safeties. Nick Collins is obviously a huge loss for us. Luckily we have Burnett back from IR last year and he looks every bit as good as advertised. It'd be nice to have our first string team together for more than 6 quarters a year though.

If you add Berry for the Chiefs it truly is all about the safeties...

Ryan Williams - Cardinals rookie RB

This guy is a stud running back and was going to put the heat on Beanie for the starting job, but a torn patella tendon ended his season.

Losing Jenkins is a blow, especially as he was demonstrating real ability. Landry being out didn't help us, but strange turn of luck, he comes back for the Cowboys game and we lose (though not his fault at all)!
