New Zealand to Evans, come in Nick Evans
Henry simply has to drop Vito and Guildford and call up Matt Todd and Cruden now. I'm sure they could be injured at training...ever one else seems to manage it.
And NIck Evans, mate if your listening to the cosmic vibe. Time to break your contract and get on a direct flight. Your country needs you.

What drivel GG,Nick Evans has been out of the loop for 4 years, has no knowledge of the current All Black set up.
RWC`s have always been about squad management,Dan Carter is a great
player.
BUT NO Player should be indispensible in a Team game,All Blacks will just have to adapt and dig deeper.

This is a complete sham. Both Carter and McCaw are being rested for the easy 60 point drubbing of Canada. Never fear both will be playing next week.

Cant see Henry doing that. Just seen the injury list, thats a big blow for the blacks but hopefully they will all be back for next week . Got to feel sorry for Steyn as well having to go home just as the quarters are coming up.

I seriously doubt the image of Carter lying on the floor in pain during training are faked - why would they need too, they could have not played Carter when the team was selected.

Exactly. There are fears he could be out of the tournament-would that be a sham too mate?

The point about Nick Evans is well made though, I think hes NZ next best outside half after Carter but he has been on the wilderness for four years playing in England. I cant see how they can recall him without abandoning the play at home rule and can he get up to speed on the calls and moves etc thats a big ask.

Tomasi Cama then. Bags of experience with the 7s. Fit as a rat, genius on attack and a rock in defence.

Carter will play , i think he's jsut got a bit of pain and Henry saw what happened to Steyn and he's done the right thing and pulled his star player out of the game just in case his injury gets aggravated

It's a Grade 2 Groin injury apparently. If true, then it's 3-8 weeks recovery time depending on whether it's a 2- or 2+ strain.
Hopefully no one is taking any secret delight in this. I mean everyone wants to see the best players play, right? And it's Carter's last opportunity to play in the tournament, so it would be a shame for him to miss out. And no one wants to see their team beat the All Blacks with their best players missing - it would just ring a bit hollow as a victory.

I would be very disappointed not to see Carter play again this World Cup. This stage was made for him.

If it's a grade 2 I'd pump him full of cortisone before the semi. NZ can handle Argentina without him. Not so SA or Aussie. It's a World Cup. Gotta be as Machivellian as we can I suppose.

ITV highlights just said it's now rumoured to be a tear, not a strain (don't know this 1 or 2 stuff).
Mr Fitzpatrick just commented that the Chokeometer in New Zealand will be going through the roof tonight!
