I need to lose it before Sat so I figure keep doing my usual daily routine, if I stay in bed like a skiving Poopie all day the germs will see an oppertunity to attack again. And I want to be 100% fit on saturday to drink beer and shout at dirty scousers then Sunday head down to Hawthorns with The Might Wolves

Check this Poopie, funny
http://www.disabled-world.com/artman/publish/article_2087.shtml

It says the following:
To get rid of Cough and Flu:

Wash and dry fennel and stir fry till it is half cooked. Eat twice a day you will get rid of flu and cough.

Or If you have a severe cough problem, take 5 sultanas, place a black pepper on each sultanas and stir fry on griddle and eat at night for three days consecutively you will feel better. (It is important that you don't eat or drink anything after this)

Or For continuous cough, fry raw guavas on direct heat, apply salt and eat. It will relieve some pain

Quick Question

When a club come back on a TP, is there only three option in general

Yes - You have your player
Negotiation - Match our value and you have him
No - You can never have him

Correct Nay.
If its a No its a No for the current future. Them players will most likely be available in season 3, as season 2 will be our first European comps and season 3 we will have some winners from europe. Also those players will most likely move to the clubs that wins their league, euro cup or champions cup.
Use your judgement on the grade player and the grade trophy won

Love the initial tactics Adam!!!

Definately a first in the furious league and you may be about to evolve the way managers do tactics!!!

That's if we can work out how you did it

Thanks Afro - with compliments like that, I see a 4-0 loss coming Laugh

I have updated the tactics below the chart now as well - hopefully they make sense!

As to how I did it, I just took a picture off the net of a football pitch and used powerpoint to add in the names, arrows and positions.

Then saved it as an image and loaded it to imageshack - if any of you want further details of how to do it (its really easy), let me know.

Atletico Madrid 0-3 Bayer Leverkusen
------------------------Bale
------------------------Agbonlahorx2

I feel Bayer were instructed much better and went around thier game better, Athletico are very good out wide and did cause some problems but need more tactical awareness in future.

Leverkuesen had much more confidence when they went out and weak tactics by Madrid saw them wither out and lose to a good BL team

Bayern just have too much pace about them for Atletico’s back line to deal with. Lennon, Bale and Agbonlahor are all more than capable of causing Atletico problems and I see no real threat to teh Bayern back line which is very solid. Also, the power in the centre of the Leverkusen back line would allow them to control the game throughout.

physical side battered athletico off the pitch today as they took all 3 points after a close fought game, Bayer wore them down with the pace of their front 3 which the defence couldn't cope with

Both teams set up similar, but Atletico set up to be tight at back, with ballack asked to dictate the pace it will allow the Atletico midfielders to press quickly as will be crowded in midfield, The same will be for diego in the atletico madrid. both goals will come from a break aways

Atletico lacked direction and organisation, Leverkusen were organised and im playing a simple game which worked today.

Stronger tactics from Leverkusen, Madrid too defensive. Close game, Leverkusen win with Ballack header from a cross.

Both teams are strong in midfield, but i feel both defences and forwards lack quality, and i dont think it will be a high scoring game

Leverkusen to take the win 2-0, bit a lot of detail in atletico's tactics so cant really tell how they will approach the game

Just too much strength and pace in the team with Lennon and Bale. Easy victory.

For Leverkusen the full backs were a weakness, Reyes and Turan both having excellent games, but Athletico Madrid need to give more tactically if they want to get anything.

Villareal 1-3 Fiorentina
Vidal O.G-------Modric
------------------Gilardinho
------------------Elia

I think Fiorentina have a stronger side on paper, and running at the Villareal full backs who were meant to stick tight worked well as their pace left them for dead.

Game cancelled out due to overcrowded midfield.

Both teams seem to be evenly matched up in this one.

Rossi had a tough game up front alone, none the less a goal but he struggled for long periods, a small and lot of the service coming from crosses.....come on. Fiorentina seemed stronger but I didnt feel so. Few players not in their preferd positions didnt help and made it easy for the Villareal back line at times. At other times it worked and cause trouble for them, hit and miss of playing players where the dont like to be played. Would of won otherwise

Gilardino to score. Fiorentina just edge it. Both sides lack genuine quality, but gilardino up top, is more of a threat than rossi.

Fiorentina midfield too good for Villereal and they dictate the match.

I think this is another close one but can just see the fiorentina midfield proving to be strong and they will win the game for fiorentina, elia will keep rodwell busy allowing modric to play the through balls fro the goals.

A close game which Fiorentina dominated but got caught out after a misplaced pass by Modric let Rossi at the defence who breezed past and slotted home.

Villareal just have no attacking threat whatsoever. The back four of Fiorentina are more than capable of handling Rossi and Soldado as they are far too similar and only offer great movement but no aerial threat. The wide players have no real attacking threat either against two very solid full backs.

A good, close game and couldnt split them

Villareal did well at the start to contain Fiorentina but eventually the Violets got through. It was a suprise to see Soldado not even get any time and the long ball did not work for Rossi.

Spurs 2-3 Porto
Adebayor---Hulk x2
Podolski----Falcao

Spurs lost control of midfield and Porto over powered them

The only reason I have Porto down for winning this one is that I believe the centre back pairing of Tottenham would struggle with the pace and power of Hulk and the general movement and creative ability of the Porto front line.Lugano and Godin would both manage to handle the power of Adebayor with the full backs more than capable of matching the pace of the wingers that Tottenham started with.

Tottenham's side just too strong today with the wingers getting at the full backs to cross for the physical imposing adebayor

Porto will be to strong in this one, the front three are just to strong, and whittaker will be exposed meaning the defensive shape will be compramised, Spurs will score from a corner, will have chances but they will mostly come from long range

WOW, hard to pick. Spurs had great wingplay which traouble Porto but lacked in the centre which slowed their momentum down when the wings were shut off.Porto, great in the middle of the park but didnt feel they had the width and as a result kept getting streched and exposed. Giving Falcao & Hulk both free roles also contributed to lack of width as at times no one was out wide and allowed Whittaker & Baines the space they were encouraged to attack and find.

Porto strike force too powerful and creative for Spurs to contain. Friedel not good enough

Tottenham have a very strong side, with the attackers lethal. Porto are weak at the back, and i dont think they pose much of a threat, hulk the only one posing a threat.

Tottenham seem very attacking so will conceed some goals, but porto will be confident of scoring one more, I can see an open game but i see Porto stealing it 3-2

Too adventurous away from home for Porto. Midfield would be overun

A difficult game to call, not sure about Whittaker starting ahead of Corluka. Would have perhaps played 4-2-3-1 with Podolski AM and Parker DM. Hulk and Falcao upfront for Porto is obviously proven and they have a strong team throughout.

A very entertaining game between the two sides, Porto were brilliant going forward and did give Spurs problems. I feel if Spurs were stronger in midfield they could have got a draw and may need to look at formations.

Arsenal 3-0 PSG
van Persie x 2, Hazard - N/A
After loosing Gamiero and not replacing PSG struggled along with last minute managerial changes.
Arsenal were very good in midfield and won the match there. Their defence is yet to be tested though.

Everton 3-1 Schalke
Defoe, VDV x 2 - Huntelaar
Schalke last minute recruitment of a manager left them with very little time to prepare for their first game of the season. Playing three at the back was looked upon and maybe didnt suit their style.
For the lack of direction Everton had they wouldnt manage a win against a more organised team.

Valencia 1-3 Roma
Simao - Osvaldo, Valbuena, Marin
Pervious manager of Valencia left them in a abd way. With little time for Tooze to sort his squad/team out Valencia struggled.
Roma showed strenght across the pich but mainly in midfield with De Rossi proving vital.

Yes he has, and we need to bring him back I said it. Azzy was the type of manager that could win the Champions League with Burnley or get relagated with Man Utd he was a mad genius and no matter how many tantrums he threw I couldn't hate the guy because unlike others Azzy beleived in the truth and would sacrafice himself for the cause. He was the Jesus of our time may god rest his soul. Great guy.

I don't know why he left, was it to do with TP? Or that he hated some managers. Top Man.

From next week we will be more strict with the voting and deadlines, we don't want to fall behind. Some guys have been slacking and they need to pull thier finger out. Saying that the lads who have come in to our league new have done a top job with tactics and voting putting the likes of Nick and Afro to shame.

Nick page 13 on Admin its there.

No one mentioned Rooneys 3 game ban, I think its a joke they said they want to make an example of him but thats not fair no consistency. UEFA are against England and want them to lose at all costs, idiots I hate them.

Would you lot take Rooney to the Euros?

I think the length of the ban is a joke. They definately wanted to make an example of him.

I think his attitude has improved and you could tell at the time that he realised he had ballsed up. But at the same time, he isn't blameless and if he hadn't kicked out, they wouldn't have been able to ban him.

I would take him. You've got to go with the objective of winning the whole tournament, no matter how unrealistic. In the latter stages, against the really big teams, you want your best player on the pitch. Without him, our chances in the big games is much lower
