Lions v Bears
Sat through this game last night which was interesting to watch as a neutral.
Chicago's defence looked awful. How Best was allowed that run I've no idea, and the look on Urlacher's face at the end of the game told a story. More worrying was their poor offence. I'm not a Cutler fan but he played a blinder last night and was the only thing that was keeping them in the game. After all the criticism he got in the Championship game earlier this year he scrambled, fought and took his hits and kept getting back up. But seriously how many times can you keep giving the ball to the same player (Forte)? Lack of imagination or lack of options?
Detroit looked like they were suffering a bit from nerves but their D was awesome to watch.
Great to see so many Lions fans enjoying the match and getting behind their team. So many penalties for false starts and the crowd must ahve been a huge factor in that. Out of interest, does anyone know if the Detroit fans have stayed loyal through the lean years and filled the stadium or are they now attracting band-waggoners?

They gave the ball to Forte plenty of times last week and he ended up rushing for over 200 yards.
Just wasn't his day I guess.

I'll be watching the game when everyone is snoring later and I get some peace.
Good to see the Lions do well, seems they can win ugly as well...

Re: Lions v Bears
only saw the first half and i had to agree cutler looked brilliant, what was a bit concerning for me was the penalties in the first drive for the lions as a more complete offence would have definetly punished.
lions go to the (overhyped) 49ers next week and should move to 6-0
while the bears are at home to the vikes a game i really cant see them winning. not a chance at the playoffs!

49ers aren't over hyped. They have a very good D and a solid offense. But next week will be a test of where both teams are at. My money is on the Lions, but I don't know if it will be a big scoring affair.
Lions seem to have finally learnt how to use what they have drafted. Bears need to learn how to draft, especially for skill positions.

Its pretty simple really, Bear's O-Line is terrible, the have no decent WR's (I'd like to see them pick up TO when he's fit to see what Cutler can do with someone who knows how to catch a ball), got rid of Cutler's favourite target in Olsen, so they're now so 1 dimentional in that you just need to stop Forte (who they still haven't payed /facepalm).
I can see the Vikings overtaking them in that division if they don't make some changes.
