Re: Homepage
If we're going to go for a more realistic approach, foreign transfers are a big part.
Instead of the frenzy style foreigns we're used to I think we should adopt a transfer centre like on the furious league. Duff league but they had that nailed down. Everyone here will have suffered from the frenzy transfers in the past.
In summary, the system is:
Separate page where you make a bid for a player
A central coordinator who responds with an accept or reject. (Luke?) if not I could do it, although my knowledge of say the Turkish or Russian leagues is turd.
Max 3 bids a day (whether accepted or rejected)
any player can go to any club, as long as the fee is reasonable.
P/e's can be accepted, again, if it's reasonable.
The bids would all be within the transfer windows of course.
What does my role as suspensions guru entail? Creating random
Suspensions or tracking real life suspensions to enforce on here?

Re: Homepage
Fernando has already volunteered to do the transfer role - and he has experience in realistic leagues so will look to him for davice. But the 'foreigns' certainly wouldn't be how we have done them on here in the past.
Keeping an up-to-date page tracking real life suspensions

Re: Homepage
Hey guys, disagree with having income come into the league in every game.
And IMO transfer prices should be realistic, keep some of the world class players in foreigns for longer
I don't like the backer system, would like to see something else to make the transfers better.

Re: Homepage
If he doesn't play then one will pressume Rafael (not a winger) Van der Vaart will go back to his favoured position behind Defoe.

Am assuming we'll go with something like....
------ Sandro ---- Parker -------
------------- Modric ------------
---- VdV ---------------- Bale ---
----------- Ade/Defoe -----------
We don't have enough managers for that fernando...

I thought perhaps...
Kranjcar ---- Parker ---- Modric ---- Bale
---------------------- VDV --------------------

was what it'd be

Few questions on what I have to do for Europe
Is every team in the league to be involved in Europe? And do I have to keep tabs on the squads for the other European sides involved?

Re: Homepage
Basically what European comps we do are entirely down to you mate.
Every team in our league will be involved, and easiest way to do I guess it is take the last side the European team played in a European competition.
Other than that, you have free reign

What do you think would be better, having 2 tournaments(CL and EL) or just having one tournament that all sides are involved in?

Re: Homepage
Thinking 4 groups of 4, the 10 league teams with 6 European ones, spread the 6 teams across the 4 groups and being 16 teams makes it easier to just go straight in with quarters, semis and final after that

Perfect draw for Ireland then, although Estonia won't be a walkover, any side who can qualify ahead of Serbia has to be taken very seriously

Done an injuries page, how will they work on this? Just 1/2 per team each week or more lengthy injuries like Hodgey had in the past?

Hey guys
Think it might be better to get a new section for this league? Keep it separate from all the old stuff?
When do you want me to do fixtures?

Re: Homepage
As long as the sticky is there doesn't really matter - although like I sias above to fernando, would be good to get the league name changed.
If you just create a page for now, and then we'll sort out details next week.
