Should Rob Howley be sacked?
aka "Who is the Worst Attack Coach in the British Isles?"
aka "Players Maketh the Coach"
Slightly WUMish title to draw people in to the post, but please bear with me.
As 606 boards came to a close the majority of Welsh posters wanted the whole management team sacked - but most of the ire was aimed at Rob Howley. Wales attacking game for the last couple of 6 nations has been compared to "typewriter attacking" - swinging the ball wide one way, then back again - but never moving forward.
All of a sudden the late arrival of Priestland, JD2 and George "Chuck Norris is my bitch" North and the refound form of Mike Phillips and Jamie Roberts, the Welsh backline has looked threatening (though failed to score enough points to win low scoring encounters with SA and France). This has reduced the noise against Howley - but reintensified the criticisms levelled Brian Smith and Gregor Townsend.
Scottish and English fans are adamant that their attack coaches should get their P45s - but how about Howley. Is he able to ensure that Wales get the best out of their backline?

Re: Should Rob Howley be sacked?
I wouldnt be too distraught if Howley leaves, cant say the same for Edwards or Gats.
There was rumour in the WM he was going to go for the Blues job, i'd probably be happy if he did.
As long as a good replacement is found.

Nigel Davies must take credit from what this Welsh backline is coming up with.

If you have watched the Scarlets back line this season you'd soon change that comment, they have been utterly useless at times.walesworldcup wrote:Nigel Davies must take credit from what this Welsh backline is coming up with.

Wouldnt get rid of Howley, he has done a lot of good.
Stephen Jones has been the problem, not Howley
