60,000 At Millenium Stadium Thank You WRU
I thought it was a great idea yesterday and enjoyed it very much. I think the Welsh have proven over the years that we will always follow our team no matter how bad they are and at times the WRU have taken advantage of that.
Of course it was free which helped and they still made money out of the bars/food/merchandise outlets etc, I was chatting to a few who said they would have happily paid a £1 or 2 anyway if went to charity and for some it was first chance for them to go to the MS as a whole family.
So whilst I appreciate the WRUs efforts for yesterday I would like to them take it a step further and get some 'cheap' tickets out to real fans for the game against Australia in December.
To ask people to pay a minimum of £56 two weeks before Xmas is tacking the urine and if we could get a stadium packed with real fans (not corporate) it would be great welcome home for the boys and maybe a very fond farewell to the likes of Shane, Wellies and Nuggett.

Do you think Shane will play? He's saying the RWC is his last....I hope that's not true.

Even if the likes of him Nuggett and S Jones didn't play then it would be nice for them to do lap of honour etc round stadium

The atmosphere looked awesome.
Very funny that the BBC pictures of the event focused entirely on one very attractive woman in the front row only.

to true bedford, though it is a distant memory for some of us... hahaha...!
Mrs is on good form today, just a bug i think.
Passed the spare tickets on to some friends who had a great time.
Wonderful to see the WRU so in tune with the wants of the fans, not just by hosting events like this but also the way they are focussing on international rugby as a goal for welsh players.
Listening to Anderw Hore last night before the Ospreys massacre in Exeter he was also very keen that the Welsh coach gets the players more often and for longer than previous.
Great, good work Andrew. With such big and talented squads this is all good news for Wales and the Regions.

mm,
I dis-agree a bit there with the WRU in tune with the fans, yestarday aside they are still in it for what they can get out of it.
Friday night games etc have no consideration for fans travelling any further than an hour from Cardiff and like I said £56 for a ticker 2 weeks before crimbo is just not on.
Why was game arranged anyway?

The WRU has a big debt and they need to pay it off and fund a professional game in Wales that cannot sustain itself using just money generated from it's regions.
