Brandon Lloyd to join the St Louis Rams
"The Denver Broncos will trade wide receiver Brandon Lloyd to the St. Louis Rams, NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reports, citing a league source.
It was widely reported last week the Broncos were open to dealing Lloyd and shopped around ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline. The Rams, San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots were all known to be in discussions with the Broncos, sources told The Denver Post.
Lloyd, 30, is scheduled to make $1.395 million this season. He led the league last season with 1,448 yards on 77 receptions and scored 11 touchdowns.
Lloyd has 19 catches for 283 yards and no touchdowns this season."

I would have like to have seen him at either of the other two, 49ers because of injuries to some of their WRs and the Patriots could have lined up wiht this years and last years leading receivers. He is probably more 'valuable' to the Rams though.

Makes a lot of sense Bradford needs a weapon. Any idea what they've given up?

The Rams have given up their sixth round pick which could become fifth round depending on how well Lloyd does.
The Oakland Raiders have made an approach for David Garrard.

It would become a fifth round if Lloyd catches 30 passes. As a broncos fan I think it's a good deal. It looks bad on the face of it considering he led the league last year, but he will be a free agent and we have young WRs waiting in the wings. It's better to get something for him now then nothing for him when free agency arrives. Good deal for St Louis too considering he knows the system.

Seems like a great deal when you look at his last year but then over his career he has missed a lot of games and his stats aren't at all impressive for a guy in his 9th year. The Rams do have a need at WR as they have Bradford but need to give him weapons and it may turn out to be a good pick up for just a 5th/6th rounder.

Decent deal just to help Bradford along.
Always new that St Louis had a horrible start (schedule wise) and a decent finish, but you need to keep his head up because he is a good player

Or not. But at least AJ Feeley has someone to throw to...

Hopefully Brandon Lloyd will start producing me some fantasy points now. Of course, have to see if Bradford can play with his high ankle sprain.

I am gutted that he has gone seeing as how well he has played this past 2 seasons.
Saying that, it does kinda make sense, and if DT really is healthy (a big IF) then we have a nice young dynamic WR group with Decker and Royal as well.
I'm probably just as annoyed that Eron Riley was picked up from our PS by the Jets today. He seemed to have a great chemistry in pre-season with Tebow.

I love this move. Giving up a 5th or 6th round pick (i think) for a potential pro bowl calibre receiver (in this offense anyway) is a great bit of business.
Broncos are moving in a different direction so its understandable they wanted something for him before losing him for nothing, but wouldnt the conditional pick they received for losing him be more than what we gave them?
With Lloyd, Clayton, Alexander, Gibson, Salas and Pettis hopefully we'll get something going now....

Good move for both teams
Worried about the fact he's on a couple of my fantasy teams and how quickly he will be up to speed in Rams offense

shouldnt take that long considering he already knows mcdaniels offense at denver, obviously a few changes here and there....
