St Louis Rams are on the clock

606v2 Mock Draft
1. Houston Texans- Jadeveon Clowney, DE (8/13, 62%)
Simply vote for the player you feel the team is likely to take in this scenario, no trades.

While I feel the Rams should be heavily scouting QBs with Sam Bradford seemingly topping out at decent, I doubt they will. Otherwise Watkins is just too talented to pass up at a position of need

I think they trade down, but seeing as we don't have trades then the only sensible move is to go with a WR or OT.
I know they got Saffold back, but as he's kicking inside to guard then I can see them maybe snatching Jake Matthews here. He's my vote.
Plus I want Watkins to drop to the Raiders.

Went Robinson. Think they'll trade back if they can, but if not they go with the OT with the most upside in Robinson.

I have gone for Jake Matthews, my top ranked player in the draft. Thought about pairing Tavon Austin with Sammy Watkins but felt the Rams need to protect Sam Bradford first.
It wouldn't be a big surprise if the Rams went defensive in a very defence focused NFC West with Khalil Mack being an alternative pick.
To follow up yesterday's comments... Very good idea GSC.

Went with Robinson, Rams need offensive line help and he has the most upside and would get time to learn at RT before sliding to LT
Don't think they'll take Watkins considering they took Austin high last year, and I don't think they WR corps is that bad

Taken Jake Matthews... don't feel they will invest in WR again in the first round, even though Tavon Austin didn't set the world on fire.
Could see them trying to trade down.

I should state that I think they'll definitely trade down and try to get someone like Matthews/Robinson around 5-10 range

Bradford isn't going to win you a Super Bowl. Teddy Bridgewater can though and whenever you can get a franchise QB, you take one.

That maybe true but are the Rams willing to give up on Bradford just yet? I can see them drafting a QB McCarron or Mettenberger later on just not at #2.NYJ wrote:Bradford isn't going to win you a Super Bowl. Teddy Bridgewater can though and whenever you can get a franchise QB, you take one.

They won't give up on Bradford but they should.

Picked Sammy Watkins as I think they will roll with Bradford this season and they need a top WR
Agree with most people that the Rams will trade down if possible
As they would happily take any of the WR - OT - OLB listed here

I went for Mack. Much like the Texans taking Clowney, it would give Mack time to get to grips with the NFL. I think he could have a Miller/Smith impact on their team and improve their already impressive pass rush. I think they can pick up a tackle a bit later on, and also get a safety in the 2nd/3rd round.
