The all Blacks in Europe
What is the situation of the all blacks players contracts
Should they win the world cup will there be a need for some of them to stay
in NZ or go get the big bucks
I know john afoa is going to ulster but is there any others
Rocky elsom came to europe and took it by storm, i am sure kaino could be offered some amount of money to come play for a year.
Is there many players with the contracts ending in NZ who will be coming up.

Re: The all Blacks in Europe
Bascially, the ABs held onto anyone they wanted to keep by getting them to sign new contracts before the world cup squad was picked.
Some of the big names like Carter have got a season out option to play in Europe though. I'd expect to see a few coming north next season.

Re: The all Blacks in Europe
Joe Rokocoko is going to Bayonne.
Luke McAlister already has joined Tolouse.
Aled de Malmanche joined Toloun.
Sitiveni Sivivatu signed for Clermont.
Rumour on the grapevine was that Carter was forced to resign with the All Blacks as he priced himself out of the French Market. Toloun already came out and said they would afford him and they had recently signed Wilkinson at over 1 million euro a season so you can imagine how much was involved for Carter. He might be able to broker a 12 month deal to a French club but would you sign a player for one season with a language barrier and time required to gel into the team? I wouldnt.

Re: The all Blacks in Europe
Kaino would be an awesome signing for any club.
Sadly I could only see him going to a French club if he did leave NZ (which he'd be mad to do!) would love to see him in the Heiny though.
