Glasgow Warriors v Ospreys Friday 28/10/11
Friday 28th October Kick off 7:05pm. Live on BBC2 Wales from 7:00pm.
Hosts Glasgow Warriors have won both their matches against Welsh sides so far this season. I wonder if the Samoans will start? I think COT will start in the back row instead of Tipuric but will be interesting to see if the other new boys are thrown straight in. Obviously we wont have any of our welsh boys back but be nice to see Tommy Bowe in the starting 22. Who will be returning from international duty for the Warriors?

I'm finally going to Glasgow game after living here for over a year. I haven't followed the robocop at all, who looks like the most likely winner?
Also, Anyone got any good knowledge of the stadium: Best bar to drink at, best seats, what to avoid, good place for a pie etc...

Screaming - enjoy the game. I've never been to Firhill, but I'm sure someone else will see this and be able to give some info. As for the team records. Their previous meetings went like this:
05/03/11 - Ospreys 37 - 6 Glasgow Warriors.
24/10/10 - Glasgow Warriors 31 - 23 Ospreys.
14/05/10 - Ospreys 20 - 5 Glasgow Warriors.
The Ospreys have great form so far in the Rabo, but they did suffer a heavy defeat away to Exeter last week in the LV Cup. Hopefully, that wouldn't have bothered them too much and they should have one or two players back from the RWC.
Glasgow haven't done too badly. They beat the Blues and the Dragons in their most recent games, and had only just been beaten by Treviso before that. Should be a good match hopefully!

24/10/10 - Glasgow Warriors 31 - 23 Ospreys.

Glasgow should have all their int'ls back whereas the O's will be likely still missing their large Welsh contingent

Bar in the main stand is the best place to go for a pint, usually busy enough after the match.

Thanks, do they let you take pints to your seat or do they stop you because it's a football ground? (I'm used to Welford Road and Kingston Park which are purely for rugby)

Don't think you can take your pint out with you from the Bar to the Ground, but you can buy Drink inside the ground and take it to your seat.

I was thinking very much the same thing. I'm surprised Troy Nathan has been dropped. It's a pretty static midfield pairing, much for Cusiter and Weir to do to get those two to form an effective attacking unit.
Hopefully Hogg can keep up the good form though, and the Glasgow boiler room (with Ryder on the bench) looks top class. Hopefully give a better platform for Harley and Fusaro to work from.

I wouldn't be too suprised if you got Bevington back, possibly Ryan Jones too, as he has had limited game time during the RWC, so bar catching up on some sleep he should be ready to get back on the pitch. Also I wouldn't be too suprised to see Bowe, O'Toole, Stowers and Khan (not even going to try and remmeber how to spell his surname) start as they have been resting for some time now.

what ever happened to that face palm Icon.
In it's absence
Seriously Morrison and Dewey? So we have some creative half backs in the form of Cus and Weir and then we have Morrison and Dewey, 2 crash ball gym monkeys who could not unlock defences with guile and flair if their hapless career's depended on it.
I just hope Hogg comes into the line a lot and negates this terrible selection choice.

Dewey and Morrison.
I'm being serious here - has there ever been a slower, less creative centre pairing in Magner's/Robocop history? I'm struggling...
On the plus side, a very good looking Glasgow pack.

That shouldn't be much of an issue as I doubt any of those that started in the LV cup games will start. I would like to see Eli Walker and Morgan Allen get a few games in the Rabocop though. No news of who may be in the squad then?
I think this one will go to Glasgow.

If it does it won't be becuase our midfield has been incisive and opened up the Ospreys defence. It will be a case of the glasgow pack battering the O's into submission.
Morrison and Dewey..... embarrasing.

Laney and Di Rollo? McLaren and Henderson (not actually sure if they played together)? Henderson and Craig?

Morgannwg - not yet. The O's never announce their team far in advance. On the subject of those coming back from the RWC, I'm hoping Tommy Bowe will get a look in. He's been back with the O's for just over a week now and had some rest before that. Possibly the new Samoan signings will make an appearance too.

Well now you've seen the Glasgow centre pairing at least you have a pretty decent idea of what's going to happen with first phase ball. Put a tree cutter in the centres and you'll probably win the game.
That skinny electric little fly half you had in the LDV match should be able to squeeze through our centres fairly easily, either that or he'll be snapped in half.

Not that I heard. I had thought that Lineen, in letting Vernon go, was effectively choosing to keep Beattie instead.
That said, Ryan Wilson is an excellent prospect and if a move would revitalise Beattie in some way back to his old self, then I'd be in favour. At his peak, against Ireland at Croke, he was a cracking player.

I don't see tomorrow's game being a classic running game but more of a battle of the forwards. The O's have had the best forward pack during the international window but this is their first proper match up. Though we may have a new addition in the back row our front 5 isn't going to be strengthened by internationals coming back (apart from Bevington but he's starting on the bench). I expect Gough/Evans v Gray/Kellock to be key. It ain't going to be pretty guys but the nearer to the game i get the more I get a feeling of occaision. It's a big game for both teams involved I reckon.

If that's not a film with John Cena and Adam Sandler, then it should be.

That's a strong side, with a very exciting backline. Webb and Morgan are very sharp, and Eli Walker and Tommy Bowe on the wings are no slouches. Plus you also have two strong centres in Bishop and Parker to match the onslaught coming your way from the large units that are Morrison and Dewey.
I think the Ospreys will be too good here, but then again I've got my predictions horribly wrong with Glasgow this year.

At full back. Because Richard Fussell is the worst I have ever seen. Possibly at number 8 too (Morgan Allen).

MM starting his first pro12 game AWAY in Furhill! Playing Eli on the wing rather than the power of Dirksen. I expected more of a solid defensive backline but it's clear we're going there to play a running game, i'm impressed by that. Looking forward.

Power of Dirksen? Why has an Ospreys fan not seen the power of Eli?! I would put Hanno at full back, he has all the attributes to play there, including pace.

Power of Eli? that's a film with denzel washington isn't it?
Anyway, i was merely expressing my opinion. Eli is a more of a running threat than Dirksen but i consider Dirksen to be stronger and more direct.

Walker was the most impressive back by some margin I watched in your recent loss to Exe
