V2 WCC Round 2 Group 7

The rules for round 2 are exactly the same as before, please vote for the wrestler you rate the highest and the top two will progress to the knockout stages. In round 2 Winning the group will see you face a runner up from another group so votes are even more important than ever.

I'm going for Cody as I know most will vote for CM punk.

I voted for Punk because I know alot of people will think that.

Edit: That and, you know, he deserves it

I think Cody has had a great 2011, Punk has had a better year, but for someone of Cody's young age to do what he has, is very good, considering he is around 7 years younger than Punk.

Im not saying Cody isnt a viable contender, far from it. Im just saying im voting for Punk because he deserves it, and I think alot of people will think like yourself and vote Cody because "Punk will walk it".

Del Rio, title holder, has no votes.

Failure, or just a tough group? I mean even Kane has one vote!

IMO this really is the strongest and most competitive group so far. You've got three guys in punk, cody and bobby Roode who have all had great years, are incredibly over (at least with the iwc) and doing some of the best work of their careers. Then you've got the current wwe champion and the legend that is Kane! Really tough choice!

I have to be honest, I don't really rate Del Rio. Not surprised he's struggling.

Hard group this one, probably the hardest so far...

All of them bar Kane would get my vote if they were in seperate groups

but my vote goes to Bobby Roode, he has the talent and the look to be the future of the buisness, with recent events over in TNA im not sure where the story line will go but Roode is my mvp for the year so far

Oh and I just like to congrate Mr.Punk in advance for winning this tournament

Voted for Cody as i feel he definately deserves to be in the top two....it looks like Punk is the clear winner here.

I would of voted for ADR in another group but how the hell he has not got a single vote is actually shocking

A really difficult group because three of my favourites (Punk, Cody and ADR) are in this one though I went for Cody in the end because I thought that Punk would walk it and unfortunately it seems as though ADR doesn't have a chance to it left me with only one vote to ensure a favourite of mine would progress.

Nice to see the Champion of the World has the square route of fluck all, the WWE are onto a winner with that

To be fair if he wasn't in a group with CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and Bobby Roode he would fare much better.

He's still the World Champion, a Rumble winner and won PPV main events against John Cena, not to garner one poxy vote speaks volums

Tbf though Gaffer he is going up against the 3 IWC darlings atm I think even the biggest of names would struggle in this group

Punk

I doubt anyone else who has been pushed so much over the last year would be so anihilated, Del Rio is an afterthought and this proves it

He is about the seventh most important guy on RAW behind Punk, Cena, HHH, Miz, Truth and Nash, throw in Johnny Ace, Michael Cole and JR he could crawl home tenth, put The Rock into that and he instantly becomes #1 and that leaves the WWE Champion struggling to be in the 10 most important people on RAW

He is going to turn into another Swagger/Sheamus WWE Champion

I actually really rate Del Rio, he has the full package (or at least did with the SD writers writing for him)

To further on my post earlier....

Rhodes has been the most entertaining heel the E has produced for years, he could well be a massive name for years to come and he's only 26.

Next I would have voted for Del Rio, as stated above

Roode I'm not fully convinced on yet

Kane is brilliant but at is at the end of his career

I'm not as massive a Punk fan as everyone else seams to be

Well done on the blog though the more interesting stat is probably net transfer spend, which has Man City 2nd all time over the PL period (despite being relegated for part of it) after Chelsea. For all their capital outlays, Man Utd have recouped significant chunks back.

Also, if you are doing any kind of financial analysis on football, check out Swiss Ramble either on his blog or on twitter - he gives very detailed financial assessments of football.

Fridays group us won by cm punk and Cody comes in second.
