England v Wales today
So Australia win the opening game and will play England next while the defeated Kiwis will face Wales in a game they will be expecting to win .
England should win today , but they will have to improve on recent performances . A loss would probably meen they would have to beat both the Australians and the Kiwis to make the final .
Does this put added pressure on England to get a win today ? Yes it does .
im still going to go for a England 24 Wales 12 result . But wouldn't be to surprised if it ended differently .

Union fan...come in peace....I'm actually watching this out of interest, even though I'm unfamiliar with the rules and things. Nasty hit to Jordan James earlier, when he stood up, he looked like he'd had 15 pints of lager

England are being slow in defence , giving Briers to much time on the ball allowing him to get some good kicks in .

Ha yeah, that's the thing Kenny. I think it's cause I'm used to watching so much union, I get the rules confused. That Welsh blonde fella's doing well....that's another thing, I don't know any players in league. I recognise Iestyn Harries cause he played union in Wales for a little while once.

Yeah, I get the impression that the Welsh are quite new to league....I suppose Wales are to international rugby league what Russia are to union. Awh that was close Wales....good defence though.

Wales have had some good sides in the past , but upto a few years ago it was Great Britain as a test team v Aus and NZ rather then split up into England Wales Scotland and Ireland .

Oh I see. So has Team GB been disbanded now, and they're just the four nations?
Another good try. I hope Wales get something soon though, I don't like to see them with 0.

Re: England v Wales today
Yes GB is no more for the time being , England always provided the majority of the GB squad anyway and England are really the only strong team from the home nations .
England ,Australia and New Zealand are included in the 4 nations every year .
when its played over here Wales , France ,Ireland , Scotland and a few others Russia i think ? have a mini tournament to fill the other 4 nations place .
and when its played down under Papua New Guinea , Fiji , Samoa , Tonga do the same

The mini tournament dont really get much tv coverage just high lights on Sky .
Sam Tomkins who has scored 2 of Englands tries is being looked at by a few Union sides , his brother Joel looks like signing for Saracens aswell .

That was a good take by the Englishman. Quite a few players have swapped codes over the years. Jiffy (who's commentating) did well in league I think.

Good play from Wales spreading the ball out wide and drawing the English centre in to leave a gap out wide , and the winger finished it well .

Widdop was quite good looking I thought. Reminded me of David Wallace a bit. I liked the fact that Iestyn H. sounded more Yorkshire than Michael Parkinson

I like Iestyn he's got some good ideas toward rugby league , should do well at Wigan as assistant coach and hopefully bring the Welsh team on aswell .
