Same for Lazio. Will probably be gone by 2pm for the day (mostly) otherwise I'll get sacked, so any bids or deals required before then, let me know.

I think its a fair result for us Nick.
After reading our tactics after they were posted we both set up well. I think I fooled you with my 442 formation though. Wink

Comments on the two games:

Juventus v Liverpool

Juventus still lacking a real presence in the central midfield and until that is addresses they will continue to get walked over.

a close win for pool, juve's midfield again no big midfielder in there

Liverpool are too strong for juve and they struggle, a win for liverpool here

Juventus playing on the counter attack which works a treat against an attacking liverpool side who are defensive poor this week

Juve play for a draw and sticking 10 men behind the ball for the game get the vital point to kick start their season.

A bit better by Juventus from last few weeks but it is still a long way to go and playing the best team in the league. The Liverpool three in midfield found it easy against the packed Juve midfield who have little quality. With Juve dropping deep it was Liverpool on the attack majority of the game. Juve need to sign some quality players.

Both sides played well and just did enough to break each others back line up
Benfica v Lyon

Benfica and Lyon seem to be getting stronger each week so this will be a draw

Very even sides both not so good at the back but very good in midfield and up top

Massive match up here but I believe Benfica’s strike force with Krasic providing the ammo is too strong for Lyon’s back line

I feel Lyon would have been better of getting a midfielder to mark one of the strikers instead of both thier CB. It opened them up quite a bit and cost them, Marvin Martin pulled one back. In future I would advise Lyon not to have thier CB's man marking thier two strikers.

very close game but benfica did enough to just see it through

CF others may have doubted you but you are one hell of a manager, you only lost by one goal on here to the best team. You have improved the team and if you stick to your plan you'll be a force next season.

every cricket team cheats and there are match-fixers in every team
just don't ask me for proof

as for us never beating indya in a WC that is not an issue

pakistan has 2 WC's if you include the T20 WC

YI, well done. I think thats fair. I didnt expect 442 but I had to put it in, I always do.

I dont quite understand the following:
In future I would advise Lyon not to have thier CB's man marking thier two strikers.
Correct me if im wrong but dont CB's mark the strikers???

Perhaps he wants you to lose the next game and have your CBs marauding upfront ala the beast that is Chiellini?

FC you know the T-20 WC is nothing and just a rip off it don't count.

Only the 50 Over WC counts and look at the Test matches and where Pakistan are ranked. Mohammed Amir could have had a great career but he opted for the cash over the love of Cricket.

Rodriguez (54)
Sapunaru (73)

Your CB will naturally be up against the opposition strikers and when you said man mark them that means go wherever they go. An thier strikers will not just stay in the middle they may make runs between the fullback and if you follow them and opens you up. If you had 3 CB and one of them marked I could understand or had one of your midfielders marking.

Did you watch City vs Everton? Where Rodwell was told to mark Silva? He went whever Silva did and to compensate that the Everton striker was isolated for a lot of the game because others had to fill in midfield where the gaps were opened.

Pakistan are winning the currently on-going test series against sri lanka 1-0 with one game to go. I think Pakistan have not lost a test match out of the last 6 or 7. The team is slowly improving. And yes Amir's plight is unfortunate.

The least effective Silva has been this season. Didn't get a sniff until Rodwell stopped man marking him when Everton had to chase an equaliser.

Happy with snapping up Lewis McGugan today.
Had a blinder for Notts Forest last season, all be it, this will be a step up for him moving to Benfica, but you can score long range shots and free kicks like his no matter what league you are in.
