My stomach doesn't seem to like blueberries. I once ate a handful of them and a few hours later was vomiting purple. Chew on that thought over lunch
Nice! Love blueberries but they have to be the right type, at present they're a bit naff as they're imported from South America (usually Uruguay), don't have half the flavour that they have when they're in season in Portugal, Spain or Poland.

Nick - you want protein and some carbs after football or after a gym session.
Chicken or Turkey sandwich on a whole grain bread, or a small portion of pasta with chicken or Turkey.
Problem is that sounds a lot like what you will have eaten already

The pro football players always eat pasta and chicken before a football game so stock up on that. Don't guzzle Lucozade though, that won't help a lot. At least not the fizzy stuff.

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1, Page 5
I have a 4-4-2 mag supplement here in front of me which was written by different managers about what happens in pre season and what sort of things players eat and drink.
for a snack they suggest
ryvita with cottage cheese, tuna and cucumber (not on 1 cracker 3 different ones 1 cheese, 2 tuna and cucumber). which is for the protein packed with amino acid which helps build muscle. Mixture of protein and carbs
Low fat yogurt with bran flakes
yogurt= good balance of carbs and protein and is classed as a low glycaemic index food which means it provides a slow sustainable release of energy.
Bran flakes= B vitamins which fine tune concentration and mental focus helping you on the pitch and office
Slice of malt loaf with peanut butter
malt loaf= carbs
Peanut Butter= all protein needed for the day
described as the perfect snack for after training as it promotes the production of glycogen which refuels tired muscles after a long and intense conditioning session

Can we get a fantasy team going for that?
I'll trade Chiellini and Cazorla for Bernard Grimshaw the 62 year old from Scunthorpe who has a mean swing on his bowl.

I'll swap Jamie Carragher for Paul Foster (the only Bowls Player I know!!!). Furious Bowls? Doesn't really have the best ring to it. Sounds like a violent sport actually.

winger, but he is versatile, so he would be a good signing
TSC if not, then i think me and nando might be doing a deal on walcott, cos i made him a very good offer

Ronaldinho is awesome atm!
He's bang back on form over in Brazil, I've been tempted for him a couple of times.

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1, Page 5
Robinho to Walcott is a bit of a step down though isn't it?
Walcott is a good player and would be a good signing, but Robinho is several levels above him surely.
Ronaldinho is looking class again this year too, but only moved there this year, so don't waste a TP Hero!

Wondered if you'd pick up on that as he moved in Jan rather than during the summer.
