Re: RLIF End of Year Awards
International player of the has to be Benji Marshall. He's head and shoulders above any player of either code in the world.

Re: RLIF End of Year Awards
Seeing as Cameron Smith, Billy Slater, and Benji Marshall are nominated for the Player of the Year award surely this makes them nailed on to win their position awards? (Smith - Hooker, Slater - Fullback, Marshall - Stand off)
Bit surprised by Westwood's inclusion thought he had a great year last year but not so much this year. Would of rather seen Lee Mossop of Wigan Warriors being nominated in the second row category.
Can see any superleague based players winning any of the postion awards.
Also Brain Mclennan in the coach of the year award? Bit surprised by that given his fans were calling for his head in April/May time. Was a good turn around by the team to win it but stil a shock inclusion I feel.

Re: RLIF End of Year Awards
Have updated the original post with the winner following last nights ceremony.
As expected not a single superleague based winner, but is hard to see where a possible win would of come from.

Re: RLIF End of Year Awards
The only one i thought had a chance was Micheal Monaghan who had a great season at Warrington and should of been our Man of Steel imo . But up against Cameron Smith you cant really argue .

Re: RLIF End of Year Awards
Joel Monaghan possably, i still think that Steve Menzies should have won his catogrey as he's been outstanding this year.
Billy Slater deserves tbe player of the year, as has been simply superb in most games he's played, espically the origin.
But it shows the panels? view of the English game, when they picked Sinfield at loose Forward, even though he's been playing stand off most of the season.
