Good man, I have a little man crush on Sheldon . Have you seen any of series 4 yet? I'm staying clear of it until it's out on DVD then I can watch the whole series in one go. I'm a bit sad like that, I do it with every programme that I enjoy.

It's one of those programmes that I like but not enough for some reason to remember when it's on or remember to Sky+ it. Same goes with How I met your Mother which I always laugh at when on but then forget about afterwards.

Re: Big Bang Theory anyone?
This is a great programme, the characters are so frighteningly similar to people I've known! I'm enjoying the current series more than I expected, I didn't think Amy's character would work as a regular - but now I actually love it when her face appears on Sheldon's screen, or she marches into Penny's flat saying "Hello Besty"! And no, I didn't recognise her as the actress from Blossom or in Beaches (playing Bette Midler's character as a child).
Re: Big Bang Theory anyone?
I like it but feel guilty about it.
There should be some more complicated science jokes, though. The group could be random comic book nerds, the fact that they are all highly qualified isn't used. I think the writers are out of their depth there.

First 3 season were very good the 4th wasn't great. They're trying to make it more main stream and veer away from the nerdy comedy. I hate Amy and the other new character Priya.

One of the best shows on telly, Seldon is one of my all time favourite Characters and I think as the seasons have gone on Raj has really come into his own on the show

And just how many people do you think would get them?
Also have you missed the episodes where Raj and Sheldon work together on one of his projects? The expedition to the North Pole? The Apollo 13 spoof where they try to re-engineer the ISS toilet? The gloopy substance on the sub-woofer speaker?
There's plenty of science stuff in there but its usually quite brief or "watered-down" so as not to require too much in in the way of explanation (its only a half-hour show). I think Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady recognise the majority of their fans may be nerdy but are probably not theoretical physicists and keep things at a level where most people can enjoy it.
Sheldon for me is the stand-out character - as I think Wolowitz said, "He's one lab accident away from becoming a supervillain" and gets most of the best lines. That said, I'm glad the other main characters get roughly equal screen time and chance to shine with great lines of their own.
I think its a brilliant show - my only criticism of it would be that the main characters have way too much sex for supposed nerds (Sheldon apart, obviously)! Leonard has had Penny, Priya and the old lady who helped fund the university. Howard's got Bernadette and Raj usually ends up in bed with a girl whenever he gets drunk. What is up with that?

At first wasn't particulaly kern, but the more i've seen the more i love it. Fantastic programme, brilliant lines and great interplay between the 4 main characters.
I actually think that Priya, Bernadette and Amber add something to it, though nothing beats the meal time conversations between Raj, Lenard, Howard, Penny and of course Sheldon.
Thursday nights are fast becoming the best nights on tv, with Scrubs, This and How i meet your mother.

Easily the best Sitcom on TV at the moment in my opinion...
The Character of Sheldon is fantastically written and portrayed brilliantly by Jim Parsons, I also feel the character of Bernadette offers a lot to the programme.

Bernadette has great "bazingas"
Anyway, my wife likes it and I got into it by default. Have to say it's enjoyable. Used to know a guy who whilst not a physicist WAS a massive comic book nerd and I think he'll now believe someone has made a film of his life (with cooler actors playing him)
