A really good read and a well written article in my eyes.
What are peoples thoughts on Stevenson, Bute, Pascal, Hopkins and Kovalev?

Stevenson vs Kovalev is a great match......and so naturally we'll probably never see it.
Pascal's a wildcard. I'd expect him to deal with Bute -- especially considering he's working with controversial conditioner Angel Heredia. He'd then match up well with Stevenson -- would be huge in Montreal.
Hopkins does nothing for me. His fights are as dull as dishwater.

Re: Light Heavyweight Bang
Stevenson v Kovalov is the best match in the division. Probably between the two top guys as things are now. The division is pretty poor overall but has picked up a bit in the last 12 months from what must have been rock bottom.
Hopkins seems very overrated from what I have seen. Dawson really should have retired him but because there are so many weak champions and the division was so poor he was able to go off and pick up a title off a second rate champion and because of his name and reputation people seem to still be convinced everybody must beat Hopkins to call themselves best. Really at the age he is the honus is Hopkins to prove he can beat the top guys in the division now.

Be a great fight if these two come through this weekend and fight in 2014.

Re: Light Heavyweight Bang
Bellow has been referencing the Boone fight to prove Stevenson doesn't like people who fight back... I wonder if he's seen the fight. Boone kissed the canvas twice that night, and had Stevenson been seen as a "warrior", he probably would have been allowed to continue after he got up.... I can't see Bellow winning,. Think Stevenson fights Pascal, then Kovalev.

Re: Light Heavyweight Bang
Stevenson is fortunate enough to have two fellow Canadian rivals in the same division so you would have to think that trio will be top priorities for the money they can make. Bute seems especially popular in Canada.

interesting thoughts from Bellow. I think he's going to fight the wrong fight. Interesting thoughts on Froch Groves as well.

At least Bellew realises that he will be up against the judges as well as Stevenson

Is it just me or when reading what Bellew says, a scouse accent takes over in your head?
Re: Light Heavyweight Bang
Actually now you mention it, I do read the letter k as a nasty phlegmy cough when I read his quotes.
Strange guy bellew. Can't make my mind up about him. Sometimes he looks and sounds like a psycho and at others he comes across as thoughtful and articulate. I wish him well on Saturday.

Re: Light Heavyweight Bang
I'd love to see Bellew win.
Stevensons antics when he knocked Dawson out were pathetic. Jumping around the ring while a fellow boxer is badly hurt is really disrespectful.
Plus it didn't half make him look like an idiot.

Re: Light Heavyweight Bang
Kovalev and Hopkins both beat Stevenson I reckon. Kovalev against Hopkins would be very interesting. we cant be sure how good Kovalev is yet. I thought Cleverly was there for the taking, as he had gone backwards since Murat. Kovalev doesn't look the fastest and I cant see him stopping Hopkins. Hopkins might not hit hard enough to trouble Kovalev though, so could be a close one.

Re: Light Heavyweight Bang
Cant see Hopkins beating Adonis to be honest. It could take a while, but I think Stevenson eventually gets him out of there. Dont actually know about Kovalev, he's probably got the tougher fight this weekend and I'll learn a lot from him then.
