Re: Week 9 Fantasy Help
Packers D with Rivers playing like he's Tim Tebow just without the run threat.
James Jones - a bit boom or bust but a good matchup and with Rogers throwing its hard to like Breaston more, esp now Baldwin has started to show up.
Ingram - Packers don't run and Ingram is the workhorse for the Saints plus will get goaline carries which Greenbay like to give/throw to Kuhn.

Re: Week 9 Fantasy Help
agree with T & L - Breaston definitely no' 3 on our receivers roster now Baldwin fit (and not shouting his mouth off) and we're still a run first offence, Cassel dropping back more than 30 times isn't ideal and his completion rate of 60% means he's only connecting 18 times a game and if Bowe and Baldwin are the starters Breaston gets limited chances now for me.
And We're starting to use McCluster as a WR.
Cue 140 yards, 3 TDs and 32 points on your bench....

Breaston is 'projected' for 51 yards and a TD...
(and he is playing Miami)

Re: Week 9 Fantasy Help
I need a WR and a flex from Walter (HOU), Breaston (KC), Baldwin (KC), Jones (ATL), Grant (GB) and Starks (GB).
Also I know people (including me) moan about the projections each week but this week Turner is projected to rush for 2 TDs which is plausible against the Colts, Ryan is expected to add two more through the air, yet Bryant is only projected to make 1 extra point. How can that be possible!

Agree with T&L on every decision
GB1919
Jones & Starks for me
With the predictions I tend to think the yardages are quite reasonable
I just take no notice of how many TD's & fumbles they predict

Re: Week 9 Fantasy Help
Need to cut two from the whole team (Blount and McGahee are on IR but no-longer "out" so need space):
Stafford, Big Ben, Sanchez, Flacco
Ray Rice, Maurice Jones Drew, LeSean McCoy, LeGarrette Blount, Willis McGahee.
Jordy Nelson, Anquan Boldin, Dez Bryant, Deion Branch, Santonio Holmes.
Benjamin Watson, Antonio Gates, Brandon Pettigrew.
Neil Rackers.
Saints and Eagles.
At the moment I'm thinking Flacco as I don't think he'll repeat against the Steelers and Holmes or a defense.

Re: Week 9 Fantasy Help
How many of each position do you start? I would cut Watson for sure and probably Flacco. Holmes would be picked up straight away and you don't want your opponent winning because of a big game from him. I also like to be able to play the match ups on defence so would keep both

Re: Week 9 Fantasy Help
Sorry should have said that we start 2 QB's, 2 RB's, 2 WR's, 2 TE's, 2RB/WR/TE's, 1 K, 1Defense. I would drop Watson but Pettigrew is on a bye week.

In that case Flacco for sure & either Holmes or McGahee
Would drop Watson next week as you won't play him again

Re: Week 9 Fantasy Help
On top of that issue who do I start? I'm stuck with Big Ben and Sanchez starting at QB, Rackers at K, Watson and Gates at TE, and I'm leaning towards the Saints against the Bucs over the Eagles against the Bears, but I'm stuck with who to start at RB, WR and RB/WR/TE. Currently thinking McCoy, Rice and Blount with Nelson, Bryant and Branch.

Re: Week 9 Fantasy Help
I would start Boldin, he has the hot hand and Flacco looked to him a lot last week, Branch has a lower ceiling

As Matthews is currently listed as doubtful need a flex from: James Jones, Santonio Holmes or Mohamed Massaquoi.

Freeman...
He plays well against New Orleans and the Jets have the better pass D

Re: Week 9 Fantasy Help
My questions:
One RB and a Flex from...
Shonn Greene, Ryan Matthews (with the borderline health issue), Daniel Thomas (health issues), Nate Washington.
Different team
One WR and a Flex from...
Jeremy Maclin, Dez Bryant, Ryan Matthews (with the borderline health issue), Daniel Thomas (health issues), Beanie Wells (with the borderline health issue)
Other starters are McCoy and Gore at RB and Mike Wallace at WR

Re: Week 9 Fantasy Help
I would say:
Greene and Washington.
Maclin and Bryant/Wells.
As I'm potentially having to start Beanie Wells and Ryan Matthews on one of my teams I'm trying to not rule out them having good games but if you've got other options I would rather take them.

Which RB should I start number 2?
Ben Tate vs Browns
Knowshon Moreno vs Raiders
Danny Woodhead vs Giants
Not a great choice I know

I'd go Moreno, he's rubbish but McGahee won't get many touches even if he is suited for the game. Your right though, a terrible choice.

It's amazing I'm 6-2 with such terrible RB depth, thankfully I have Matt Forte though

Re: Week 9 Fantasy Help
Well for the first few weeks of the season you had 3 starting running backs and Woodhead. Ben Tate has proven himself useful and will be trusted to take the carries whenever Foster goes down, Moreno should see touches with McGahee still recovering from a broken hand he may say he can carry it fine in both hands but I doubt your coaches want to risk him and with Woodhead there's always a chance he has a good game.TheBrownTown wrote:It's amazing I'm 6-2 with such terrible RB depth, thankfully I have Matt Forte though

Yeh I drafted Moreno thinking he'd be a solid starter for the Broncos, I didn't expect McGahee to win the starting job

Re: Week 9 Fantasy Help
Jacobs given that its unlikely Bradshaw starts and the Pats backfield is so hard to predict from week to week.
I'd go Nate Washington and Mike Williams (that's a really horrible choice) not because I think they'll do well but more because they'll be the least bad of the 4.
You could take a gamble on Heyward Bey, but without seeing Carson play a full game its really hard to know how he's going to fair. Johnson will holidaying on Revis Island this week so forget about him. Freeman generally plays quite well against the Saints so Williams has a chance to make an impact for once. Washington will be Matt H's top target again so should be good for close to 10 points one way or another against a very good Bengals D that will stop the run early and force the Titans to move it through the air.

Re: Week 9 Fantasy Help
Due to a couple of bad decisions (one in particular being starting Blount and not McGahee which cost me 21 points) I need LeSean McCoy and the Eagles defense to outscore Vick by 10 points.

Good job I ignored your advice and went with Tate! Tate got 17.5 points and Moreno got 0.8

McCoy and Maclin to outscore the Bears D by 20 to keep one of my 8-0 teams in the realms of the unbeaten...
