Seems alright to me. Typical northerner; very forthright and up-front. No nonsense. He's welcome as a pundit as far as I'm concerned.

I can live with the accent. I'd rather hear that than the other cockney/southerner bloke who's on there.

Re: Clinton Woods TV "Pundit"
Nah he's a nice lad and had a good career, and definately knows his stuff... But yeah again... The accent for me... I'm a northener though I'm rather posh so I don't sound like that, but I really cannot stand that type of common accent.

Funnily enough he's also from the north... I know, sounds like he's from the East End.

He's alright but a little boring. Duke Mckenzie is a good commentator.

I love the Welsh accent, but my goodness I can't stand his voice, I dunno if it's the fact he's been knocked out 9458348 times or what but my god his voice is awful.

That's it with Enzo-he just sounds either bored or boring. Either way it's not great.ONETWOFOREVER wrote:Dass wrote:I don't mind Wood's accent at all and its far better to listen to than Enzo.

Re: Clinton Woods TV "Pundit"
Yeah, he is a bit poor in my opinion, just says the same garbage in a monotonous tone, has little charisma or flair, Jim Watt makes him look like a journeyman!!

We'll have less of slagging Clinton and his accent round these parts. Proper Yorkshire man.

Owight, owight, woss ap ven? I thought Woods was alright. The accent didn't bother me, but more importantly he made a decent pundit.OasisBFC wrote:you lot sound like f*ucking southern bell ends.

Re: Clinton Woods TV "Pundit"
I think Woods makes a decent pundit but what he needs to do is phase the accent out a little sort of like Parkinson who is from Yorkshire but does not speak with that strong Yorkshire accent anymore.

Re: Clinton Woods TV "Pundit"
I suppose it could perhaps marginalise him, particularly with people who aren't familiar with English, or who struggle with it. Americans, for example.

Re: Clinton Woods TV "Pundit"
I remember clinton woods being one of the few people who predicted a one sided battering of Lacy (although he did say ko) by Calzaghe and another couple of predictions which were more or less spot on. I remember the american commentators quoting it in the early rounds of the fight.

He does seem less prone to fanciful exaggeration. That's the Yorkshireman in him.

Actually think Enzo is okay as a pundit. Not the best but let the kid learn!

It's not what he says, it's the way he says it. His drone grated on me personally.

The japanese think that the best laugh is by faking shootouts and scaring unsuspecting people half to death. I don't even want to know!
