Dolph because he's the best in the world at the moment
Re: V2 WCC- The Knockout Stages- The Last 16- Match up 5
I've gone for Dolph - majorly impressed by him this year. He's taken it up two gears, and not even pressed the clutch. Great performances both in the ring, and on the mic - and the relationship with Vickie still isn't boring, they are a perfect foil for each other.

Samoa Joe by a mile for me, sure Ziggler is showing form at present but Joe when on his game is several notches above him.

I would say joe but he is so wasted in tna at the mo, i cant actually remember the last time he did anything other than job which is such a shame cos on his day he is one of the best in the buisness
dolph has come on leaps and bounds this year so he gets my vote

Tough one, but gotta go with Joe. The man is a beast.
Re: V2 WCC- The Knockout Stages- The Last 16- Match up 5
I have gone for Dolph primarily because the limited time I have watched TNA has been the time in which he is been regularly underused, while Dolph has really stepped up his game in all aspects.

really hard to pick here, Ziggler just edged it because over the course of the last year Ziggler hasn' put on a bad match and Joe tbh has been badly booked with TNA

If you are undecided or think of Joe purely for what the Hogan era has made him job to, then I ask you to take a few minutes to watch the following and then make your decision.

Hero - I have seen some amazing matches from Joe but I want to be consistent in terms of how I vote and throughout this I have said that I will only base my decision on elements that I have seen in a contemporary manner. As such, because I wasn't watching those at the time I don't have any clue about the build up and cannot get into the emotion of things and for me it is that emotional connectivity as opposed to a gonzo pro wrestling fight that makes things truly interesting regardless of the quality of the match.

Well all three of those matches were given a 5 star rating by Meltzer, Joe's got more 5 star matches than any Western based wrestler in the past 20 years.
Re: V2 WCC- The Knockout Stages- The Last 16- Match up 5
I'm going with Joe, who can still look strong with abysmal booking, over Ziggles, who still hasn't convinced everyone despite the makings of a push.

Dolph for me, I'm really excited about him breaking into the main event, his mic skills have improved massively, great physique and is the best seller around right now.

Jesus only 2 votes in it! This is as close as one of the first groups when Sting and Shelton were battling for 2nd place with the group leader only a few votes clear

Ziggles gets my vote, as I've been voting purely based on the past year, and Ziggler has been one of the highlights of 2011.

Each poll normally gets about 50 votes so the ship may have sailed for Joe unfortunately

Re: V2 WCC- The Knockout Stages- The Last 16- Match up 5
Had to be Ziggler, I have tried to keep things current and simply put Joe bar a couple of brief flashes hasn't been at his peak since 2006 if im honest, after years of being the indie darling and his brilliant undeafeted streak in his early years of TNA, I don't feel he has been at his best since his brilliant trilogy with Angle upon the latters debut, this ironically coincided with Russo retaking the helm at in TNA and it has to be said TNA really took his eye of the ball with Joe. Personally I don't feel Joe is entirly blameless, he seems to have lost a bit of motivation but aside from the matches where he won and lost his TNA World Title his reign was entirly forgettable, this really should have been the moment when Joe should have made his claim as champion and he let it pass him by.
In contrast Ziggler continues to evolve as a performer, initially forgettable on his redebut (lets ignore the caddy and cheerleader years) he has developed into a fantastically solid wrestler and continues to improve on the mic.
If I'm honest prime Joe is head and shoulders better than anything Ziggler has achived so far but in the past year or 2, Ziggler has been the wrestler on his way up while Joe has been in a steady decline for years

If I was picking my favorite I would have voted for Joe, I remember him fondly from his ROH and early TNA years and in his prime I thought he was phenomonal and had the potential to be the best in the world if booked correctly, obviously he wasn't and simply he hasn't been all that for the past 5 years and that's why I voted for Ziggler

I totally agree Doc although I liked Joe in 07 & 08
I picked Dolph for tne same reasons but if I was starting up a promotion tomorrow and could only pick one I'd choose Joe
