Pacquiao vs Marquez - Primetime Interactive Thread
First topic message reminder :
Just setting this one up in readiness for the topic that Buncey puts forward for discussion.
Following it's success during the Mayweather Ortiz fight card, Primetime will be going interactive in the studio again with a few boxing forums, one of which is ourselves.
By that, they mean Steve Bunce, along with studio guest Steve Collins, will be reading out selected posts from members of those forums taking part.
Presumably Buncey will put up a question for debate ahead of the fight like he did last time out, and will then discuss some of the responses that people give during the live studio airing.
So, keep an eye out for the topic for debate which I will add to this thread once we receive it, and put forward some good responses and you may just get a mention. (About 5 of our guys were mentioned last time out).
This is another good opportunity for 606v2 to get our name out there and possibly attract new members, whilst showing off just how knowledgeable we all are at the same time
Are many of you guys going to be up watching the fight live? I will be, and I'd imagine our competition winners Balti and Chris will be, so it'd be good to have a few others online during the card for some discussion to keep us entertained/awake!.
Remember, if you are intending to purchase this fight, please help out the forum with its running costs (we get a small percentage of each buy) by buying through our affiliate link to Primetime, which is here Primetime Website
Thanks

I've done this one to death, but since it's so appropriate and topical I'll drag it out one more time.

No Adam, Negotiator/Agent is different. They should employ the employee - not sign a contract with a master. If you have people working for you- you work on an employment basis - they try to get you the big fights - its done. They get paid regardless. If you make it in their interests (giveing them a percentage) and give them the power to decide - they will steal each and every penny out of you.
Judges should also be chosen at random on the night and put in soundproof rooms so they can judge without being swayed by crowds or other external influences..

haha - MY favourite one was the " I was once knocked out by a Mexican bantamweight" Journalist: "Oh?" "Well, 6 of my friends were swinging him by the heels at the time".

That's taking it to the other extreme. Look at the way Mayweather and Pacquiao's camps have both procrastinated over fighting each other. Look at how Arum over-cooked Juanma Lopez vs Gamboa. Look at how Arum has milked fighters to build Pacquiao up. Now look at it: in the eyes of most people it seems Pacquiao should have another loss on his record.Adam D (Hobo) wrote:So do tyou think that someone like Riddick Bowe should be allowed to negotiate for himself?

These ones are also well worn, Tex Cobb on fighting Holmes:
"I wasn't talking to Holmes in there. Every time I felt like saying something to him I found it hard because he kept putting his left hand in my mouth."
"Hey, you're a white guy, do something about this!" To the ref in the Holmes fight.
"Let's party!" To Holmes as they touched gloves for round 15.
"I don't think his hands could take the abuse." On a possible rematch with Holmes.
