Good news for Rugby League in Ireland, they are working hard to increase the exposure of Rugby League. What does this mean for League in Ireland, will the game ever take off here?

I don't think so. I just don't think there is enough room left in the sporting landscape for League to come through. What I can see happening is more Irish players moving to England to play league if they can't make it at one of the provinces.

Good I suppose as Munsty said League is never going to make a serious impact in Ireland unless we do what the cricketers do and get some Australian and South African ex-pats...

Just had a look at the squad there and there is a guy in it called Lemeki Vaipulu, I take it he is not Irish anyway.
Does Pat Richards not play for Ireland any more or does he just play world in cup's.

Slowly but surely Rugby League is getting there, but its a slow process.
20 years ago i wouldn't have dreamed that the game would be played in as many countries as it is now.
I don't expect Rugby League to challenge union in Ireland in the forseeable future, but in other countries it will.
International competition is the way to spread Rugby League.
