England v Australia ..... the final
First topic message reminder :
So England beat New Zealand to reach the 4 nations final .
Wales finish bottom of the league but should be proud of their efforts especially against Australia .
Australia pick a so called weaker side and still score 56 points .
so its England v Australia in the final .
What do you think the score will be ?

Yeah, I'd go Thurston... but Lockyer might get it. Shocking kick!
Well, Sheens keeps his job I'd say. I'm not a huge fan of his but he had a better time this year.

Well done Australia, brilliant performance, couple of points:
For mine Paul Gallen for man of the match
Praise should go to the defense of the English centres, Inglis and Lawrence were kept pretty quiet
Did Australia not take a left wing on this tour?????
Game deserved not only a neutral ref but also a neutrl video ref.
I could watch Darren Lockyer setting up those sweeping right support plays all day.

Re: England v Australia ..... the final
1st off congratulations to Australia, who gave a first class team performance with minimal mistakes. Thought Thurston was different class, abably supported by Smith, Gallen, Boyd who were brilliant. Thourghly deserved victory for the green & golds.
But also helped by a limp England performance, that wasn't anywhere near good enough. Last week we had pace, passion strength, none of which were on show today, which was really worrying considering this was a final.
Thought the ref was okay.
But once again congrats to Australia, lets hope it's a diffrent story at the next world cup

In fairness to Rangi he is now twice the player he was when he left New Zealand.

I enjoyed that game- hardly ever seen rugby league before- But i like the fact that the simplicity of the game helps the game be reffed to a higher standard. Its a shame that rugby is split because this game(as a southerener i know nothing about it) its a good looking game- and after the union world cups problems with penalities never given in rucks this game is very refreashing!
and well done Australia

I agree Rangi is turning into a very good player and thats why im disappointed i expected more from him , maybe that was a little unfair but after the season he has had i really thought he would grab this 4 nations by the throat and show everyone how good he is . He will no doubt get better in a international jersey

Agree, but he wasn't the only one to disappoint. Not sure how Westwood keeps getting picked, Also wasn't overly impressed with Heighton.
Also, Though i thought Sinfield had a good tournament, he is not an answer to the stand off issue.
On a positive note we have some good youngster coming through in SL, so hopefully some of them might push on and get a chance.
