Why has Wimbledon become Federer's worst slam now?
Wimbledon used to be his best slam. Won more slams at Wimbledon than anywhere else. So how come he can't make it past the QFs anymore(2 yrs. in a row now)?

Some injuries stopped him in the quarters plus the thing plays like clay now.

yeah but he doesn't usually lose in the QFs at RG does he BB (sure there was that one defeat to Soderling, but apart from that he's only lost to Nadal there in the last 7 years or so)

He plays well for 2 and a bit sets now.. don't think its a "green clay" issue, anyway it's not like Tsonga had no good pedigree for grass..

Yeah, but injuries/draws can explain it really.
After all, it's only Tsonga/Berdy at Wimbledon and Sod at RG. Not that much difference, and he was definitely unfit v Berdy (and personally I suspect v Tsonga). Ironically he was fine against Sod, he just couldn't hit through in those conditions and got beat.

Harder to get motivated when you've won so much.

Yes, I would add to that the Slazenger balls used at Wimbledon are amongst the biggest balls and slows quickest at the baseline making it ideal for Nadal and now Djoko who can retrieve almost anything. It makes it great for Berdych, Sod and Tsonga as they can hit through those slow pace conditons.
To me Wimbledon was slower than the FO this year. Federer fit or not would have struggled v Nadal and Djoko. They need to pace it up. SW19 is not tennis anymore, it's badmington.

Happy to have that quote attributed to me, but it's Tenez's really.
