HC: Leinster
First topic message reminder :
On the evidence of their games so far they aren't missing BOD so far but will they still be the force they have been, I think they will be very hard to beat. They wont have problems in their group so home quarter easily, the only team they have to avoid before the final is Toulose.

It looks great on telly, seems to be a good atmosphere. The dip takes away from it a bit. I remember the residents behind it were offered silly money to sell up. Bet they'd bite the hand of IRFU for it now.

Ha, too right. Bloody celtic tiger had us getting too big for our boots.
In fairness though, it still looks really well from the inside, dip or not. And coming towards it from town the dip makes it look epic.
I've been to every Leinster game there and a few Ireland ones, the atmospshere is always rocking. Even when it was -6degrees last year against Clermont.

Oh that was a great night.... The Chrimbo hats, everyone out on the hot toddy, the ladies with goldust in their hair..
Then after the match off to Baggot Street to have the banter with the visiting fans... festive spirit a plenty...

Re: HC: Leinster
hahaha. clermont game was ridiculosly cold and the hot whiskeys were not near hot enough. brought the mrs at the time,a german, and she asked about the rules for the whole game. was fit to be tied come full time
i have to say if the Germans get rugby we are all f*cked.Cold calculated German efficiency. They would be like the Munster of old with better execution in the backs.

Dave, I coached Munich 2nd XV for a year. Incredibly fit and disciplined. No guile or nous though. Germany will never product Quinlan or McCaw or Neil Back any cheeky backrow who knows how to be a pain in the hole. They think too rigidly for that.
Re: HC: Leinster
Surely they’d just get a few Poles to do that for them, like Klose and Podolski.

Re: HC: Leinster
haha no way. thats gas red stag.
yerrah they can always steel a pole, brazillian or a turk to mess around at the breakdown and play 7.
Would be gas if it caught on. no knock ons or lost lineouts a whole season. joyless personalityless players but ridiculously low error count. home games in the allianz arena but secretly they prefer their home games to be in the Ruhr Valley the heartland of German rugby.

Dortmund Dynamos to win the Heiniken cup. Have to say their stadium is amazing. 20000 terrace behind the goal. Some ground.
Eddie O Sullivan to coach them.

Re: HC: Leinster
German rugby is full of expats though. The 2nd XV that I coach were almost exclusively German. The 1st XV English, Kiwi, Scottish, Irish, French, Italian etc.

Maybe the Germans will redefine the sport for in the future with their own clockwork precise style. Anyway they have had many cunning footballers over the years I'm sure they could produce a few crafty Kuntz to be admired on the world stage if they took the sport seriously.

One thing is for certain. There is no stopping them; the Germans will soon be here. And I for one welcome our new German overlords. I'd like to remind them that as a trusted 606v2 personality, I could be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves.
