Rory Lamont to leave Toulon
First topic message reminder :
It would seem that Rory Lamont is leaving Toulon, citing a lack of game time, and a desire to get back into the Scotland setup. No news reports yet, but I'll put them up as soon as they appear.
He has tweeted in the past hour:
"Merci à tous ceux à Toulon pour une étonnante 2 ans. Je suis triste de quitter, mais la possibilité de jouer a été limité cette saison"
Thank you to everyone at Toulon for an amazing two years. I'm sad to leave, but the possibility of playing has been limited this season.
"Je veux jouer pour l'Ecosse et maintenant je dois trouver un autre club où je vais jouer plus au rugby. #jeprometsde nepasenFrance!"
I want to play for Scotland, and now I have to find a club where I will play more rugby. I promise, not in France!
So, who wants an electrifying (when fit and on form) Scottish fullback?
[Can I just say, how about that translation? Eh? Mrs Bachelor in year 6 would be ever so proud.]

Lamont is available for a team in the HC or Amlin as he has not being named in Toulouns Matchday squad for the Amlin this season.
However any team who have used their one extra player to register during the pool stages, like I assume Glasgow have done with Lemi already, would not be able to register him till the knockouts.

Re: Rory Lamont to leave Toulon
Where in the world does Rory Lamont go to next?
Article in the Herald. Highlights points we have already listed on the thread but it does include one that i hadn't actually thought of yet, if Lamont were to go to Glasgow that could see Hogg move to 13. Interesting proposition. I would like to see him get on the ball more.

Not a bad idea, although I had DTH pencilled in for 13 on his return, keeping Seymour and Lemi on the wings.
As above, Glasgow seems his best option to me.

Great news for all concerned. Let's hope that he can now return to the sort of form that made him one of the more exciting backs in the 6 Nations.

Awhh I would have liked to see him join the Dragons, their squad is really shaping up, Lamont would have been the perfect addition to join Tuilagi and Chavhanga.

I would have liked him at Scarlets - he'd be an awesome option at FB or even covering wing and centre
