Second row issues for Wales?
Gatland has said that come the Six Nations we may be missing Charteris and AWJ due to injury.
More to follow.

:/ Not good.
Lets hope Ian Evans has a stormer and BD gets some form back.
Then we will still have Davies, Evans and R.Jones to choose from.

I suspect Charteris was injured during the world cup but pushed on because he didnt want to be left out

Im a big fan of Evans, whilst the injuries are a problem in the short term in teh long term we have four top quality second rows in charteris AWJ, Bradley and Evans.
Strength in depth at lock is good, now we just need to find a tighthead

I worry about Evans penalty/yellow card count though :/

Re: Second row issues for Wales?
If it is that big an issue come the 6 Nations Gatland should call up Adam Jones from the Dragons as a temporary replacement. Either that or revert back to sticking a pair back-row forwards there (guess who).

Yes I agree about Adam Jones, he has been on amazing form. He and Charteris together at the Dragons is going to be phenomenal.
There is also Shingler and Welch showing good form at the scarlets, Cook at the Blues and players like McCusker have played lock plenty of times too...

I don't think that lock is too much of a problem for Wales, as posters have already pointed out, Ryan Jones, Welch, Reed, Adam Jones can all do a job. Adam Jones has been the stand out lock in Wales so far this season. Also youngsters such as Shingler and Downs could come up to the mark.
More concerned about Andrews at tight head prop!

Evans has a huge opportunity now to put down a marker as well as Davies trying to get back to being 1st choice.
A Jones had been in great form so far but who else it out there coming through, R Jones aside

No disrespect to Ryan who is a legend but it is time for him to be phased out, he hangs on because he is supersub and we need to get Jones in asap so that we have a 5 man cadre - ALun, Luke, Bradley, Ian and Jones.

Gatts,
I think thats a good set of players n back plus then Shingler and Downs, what happened to Day and Welch is it? they have never seemed to kick on or have they?

no doubt he is but that is hardly the point...he is being used as a supersub and he needs to either start on merit or vacate a la Wellies.
